Top Ten Tuesday – top ten books that will make you read the whole day away

Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly feature created by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week’s theme is top ten books that will make you read the whole day away.

That’s such a great topic. I love books that keep me spellbound and make me forget everything around me. I cancel friends for books like that. ;D

So here we go….

The Twilight Collection (Twilight #1-3)

I stil remember where I was when I devoured these three books. And I still remember the giddiness and my heart went pitter-patter – very embarrassing 😀

I haven’t read them again, but the memory still stayed with me.

Naked in Death (In Death #1)

I remember going to Barnes and Noble (long before my kindle addiction) and bought 7 or 8  paperbacks of this series at once. They were stacked neatly on my coffee table and taunted me, making me read so much faster. But an amazing time when finishing one book was instantly rewarded with another one, until I caught up and ran out of new books. From there on I was patiently waiting to get a new release twice a year.
And I’m still a devoted fan.

617 pages

The Land of the Beautiful Dead

751 pages

The Last Hour of Gann

1023 pages

OMG – her books are EPIC!! Look at those page numbers. There is nothing else to do than read. And it took me usually more than one day to finish it. I still remember finishing at around 5am in the morning – two different books – tow days in a row!!!!!!
I was a zombie, but I just couldn’t put it down.

At Peace (The ‘Burg #2)

Another book that I couldn’t put away and was reading the entire day. 660 pages will keep me glued to my chair, sofa or bed.

LOVE her older books – so many amazing KA reads.

Kiss of Snow (Psy-Changeling #10)

OMG – I had to wait 10 books for Hawke and Sienna finally to get together – but it was so worth it!! This book was perfection. Since then I’ve read it countless times, just to relive their final surrender to each other.

Backstage Pass (Sinners on Tour #1)

HOOOOOOOT – this book had me squirming and got me all hot and bothered. It was a HUGE revelation that such naughty books were out there for me to enjoy. 😀

Some Kind of Perfect (Calloway Sisters #4.5)

This one was absolutely stunning!!!  A 664 page long epilogue for their fans. It spans a couple years. Time for lots of babies that will feature in the upcoming series.
I was in Calloway HEAVEN for an entire day!!!

The Girl Who Played with Fire (Millennium #2)

WOW – this series was a HUGE thing at the time. I devoured all three of them and they kept me up until late at night.

Dragon Actually (Dragon Kin #1)

I was on a road trip with friends, sitting in the back seat and devouring one book after another from this series. I remember thinking that I was such a lucky one that I had a Kindle with 3G because I was able to download the next book right away – problems of a reader 😀

Blue-Eyed Devil (The Travises #2)

This book was AMAZING!!! I still remember thinking that it was even better than book 1 and I talked endlessly about Sugar Daddy. But OMG – Blue-Eyed Devil was my undoing. I believe I read it back to back – that’s how good it was. 😀

    1. It is contemporary. You should read Sugar Daddy first!! We couldn’t believe how awesome this contemporary series was – UNBELIEVABLE!!

  1. I remember not being able to sleep after stopping mid final-scene in New Moon because my mom caught me reading in the wee hours and took the book away. Wow, it was a really long time ago now that I think of it…
I’m also currently reading “Immortal in Death” and anything or anyone interrupting my reading time gets the reading-in-progress glare.

    1. I’m so glad I’m not alone.;-) How ever I might think about Twilight now, it kept me turning pages like crazy and the OMG the FEELINGS!!!! JD Robb will always be a DON’T DISTURB ME book – hate being interrupted;-)
