CORINA’S REVIEW

KINDLE UNLIMTED

I’m a HUGE fan of kids in romance novels. That’s just fact. I love the interaction, how they make me laugh and honestly everyone around them. I can’t get enough of these books. Color me delighted when I picked up The Marriage Effect and got exactly that. A hunky football player, big brother/guardian to FOUR younger half sisters. I was in HEAVEN!!!!

The entire novel was a delight.

The fake relationship and playing house was one of my favorite aspects of this novel. I actually would have loved 50 more pages about them playing family, that’s how great these characters worked together.

Paige has been a character favorite of mine since book 1. And I was pleased that she was exactly how I remembered her. And it didn’t hurt that she and Logan had chemistry, and sexual attraction that neither could ignore for long – actually Logan tried the longest.

Logan was at the end of his career, and did all his partying in his younger years, so he was this awesome steadfast and dependable person. Nothing like jocks are usually depicted. And the way he handled his responsibilities was admirable.

Logan and Paige made a great couple. And together with the kids they were this awesome patchwork family. The only complaint I have is that I didn’t get nearly enough family time. I wanted more. But all in all The Marriage Effect was a great addition to this series, and a wonderful sports romance. I’m already excited about the next book – which will be about one of the sisters.  And she already has her eyes on a future football star.

BLURB

The Marriage Effect - Karla SorensenLogan Ward doesn’t want any more women in his life.

Being a football player and legal guardian to his four younger sisters means his playbook is full. However, one of them just landed in the hospital, which gives his brother the shot he needs to challenge Logan for custody.

Legal counsel says there’s only one thing Logan can do—find himself a wife.

Paige McKinney doesn’t always think things through.

Like walking away from her modeling career without a thought of what might come next. She really doesn’t think it through when she proclaims herself Logan’s fiancé at the hospital, simply because the sexy—albeit grumpy—football player forgot his cell phone at a party and security won’t let her pass. It’s not her fault it was overheard by the worst possible person.

A bargain is struck, and a fake marriage is the perfect solution. But the simple solution creates a whole new problem: they’re not as different as they seem. The reluctant groom has fire inside him, and his impetuous bride is about to light the match.

MEET THE AUTHOR

Karla Sorensen has been an avid reader her entire life, preferring stories with a happily-ever-after over just about any other kind. And considering she has an entire line item in her budget for books, she realized it might just be cheaper to write her own stories. It doesn’t take much to keep her happy…a book, a really big glass of wine, and at least thirty minutes of complete silence every day. She still keeps her toes in the world of health care marketing, where she made her living pre-babies. Now she stays home, writing and mommy-ing full time (this translates to almost every day being a ‘pajama day’ at the Sorensen household…don’t judge). She lives in West Michigan with her husband and two exceptionally adorable sons.
