TIJUANA’S REVIEW

The Last Guy is a light, fun, and sexy office romance! It boasts enjoyable main characters, hilarious secondary characters, and is an overall good time.

Here’s the Breakdown:

Rebecca Fieldstone is on a mission to secure the weekend anchor position at work. She currently works as field reporter, but dreams of sitting behind the desk in the top spot. Cade Hill is a sexy former football star who managed to secure an anchor position seemingly with only luck. These two clash in all the right ways.

What I enjoyed:

The story is light and entertaining. There’s a lot going on, but it’s not dense or overly dramatic. Just funny and sexy!

The main characters – Rebecca is dedicated, sexy, and tenacious. I really enjoy that in a female lead. Cade is supportive, helpful, and sexy. I definitely love that in a leading man. These two were super cute at work, but lit the sheets on fire at home.

The secondary characters are hilarious. They definitely grab your attention and hang on to it. I found myself shipping Trent and Chas super hard LOL. I’d love to see them together. I definitely want to know how Trent’s story plays out. He was a bit of a scene stealer.

Overall, the story grabbed my attention and held it. I laughed, rooted for the main characters, and smiled at the end. That’s pretty much what I look for in a light romance. Thumbs up from yours truly!

CORINA’S REVIEW

This book was right up my alley.

The writing, plot, characters, and witty dialogues worked perfectly for me. I enjoyed it all. After reading Fake Finance I knew that I loved Ilsa Madden-Mills‘s writing style. The pace was quick and the characters were likable, smart and charismatic. All in all a fantastic combination.

The Last Guy by Ilsa Madden-Mills & Tia Louise was captivating from the very first page.

I actually  was in the middle of a different book when I got bored and started reading The Last Guy instead and was instantly enamored with Cade and Rebecca. There was so much chemistry between them. Sexual tension that came to an explosive climax changed their status quo and made Cade and  Rebecca rethink a few of their rules.

This book had so many lol moments that had me chuckling constantly. Rebecca was someone that was confident in her skin, tenacious, and willing to go the extra mile. Her job was important to her and getting that dream news anchor position was not something she would give up without a fight.

Cade was super supportive of her. His pep talks were adorable and heart-warming. He was such a guy, a former athlete, easy to look at, and he has had his eyes on Rebecca from the very first day he met her. But because of them being co-workers, both kept their mutual attraction to themselves. Until one drunken night!!! Suddenly rules flew out the window, and sexual attraction took over. Cade and Rebecca were scorching HOT together. They easily got tangled in more than just linens – now their hearts were on the line as well. They rocked each others world. And from there on out they couldn’t keep their hands off of each other.

The Last Guy by Ilsa Madden-Mills & Tia Louise was such an easy and feel-good story. A rom-com that was funny, sexy and steamy. And I thought that Ilsa Maden-Mills & Tia Louise were a fabulous author couple. I’m looking forward reading more by them.

The Last Guy – Ilsa Madden-Mills & Tia Louise

BLURB

The first rule of office romance is don’t do it—especially if your dream is to hold the anchor spot on the nightly news and your boss is trying to get you fired.

But one look at Cade Hill, the sexy new sports director, and uptight reporter Rebecca Fieldstone is daydreaming about other things.

Sex in his office…
lSex in the on-set kitchen…
Sex in the supply closet…

She can’t stop thinking about the former NFL quarterback and how perfect he’d look between her sheets—except he’s an arrogant jerk with a huge… ego.

He’s the last guy she’d ever have a one-night stand with.

Cade Hill draws a thick professional line on office romance—until it comes to the hyper-focused Rebecca. He wants her, and he gets his wish when a chance encounter has them having the hottest sex of their lives.

It’s just a hook-up, she says.
When can we do it again? he says.

With Rebecca determined to keep Cade in the friend zone, it’s going to be an uphill battle for Cade to convince her he’s the last guy she’ll ever want.

THE LAST GUY is the first white-hot CONTEMPORARY ROMANTIC COMEDY from Wall Street Journal bestselling author Ilsa Madden-Mills and Tia Louise. It features Fireball-fueled hookups, Doritos Locos Tacos, attack monkeys, toddlers in tiaras, and one fabulous drag queen. Prepare for frantic clicking (or page flipping!) and smoking-hot sexytimes all the way to the out-of-this-world happily-ever-after.
