I’m not sure I can tell you how much I loved this book, but I’m going to try. Let’s start with the emotional aspect of the story. Sarah and Henry have been through some seriously tragic situations in their short lives. They both strive to be better people despite those issues. I loved getting inside Henry’s head to understand better why he seemed like such a hot mess in book one. Don’t fear, the character development is extraordinary. Henry more than changes the reader’s perception in this book.

Up next is Nicholas.

Although he doesn’t feature prominently in this book, he set me off on my first crying jag. OMG, he is sweetness and love! The love and faith he has in his brother is immense and incomparable. I loved him before, but flove him now.

Next up, Pen and Sarah.

These two sisters couldn’t be more different. They’re so much like my sister and I. I’m tall, she’s short. She loud, I’m not. I could go on and on. It’s the same with these sisters. Despite all their differences, they love and support each other. When the chips are down they know they can count on each other. Totally loved that! They shared a super sweet moment that sent me off on another crying jag. LOL

And last, but not least Sarah.

Sarah is sweet, shy, quirky, and a total book nerd. I only share one of those qualities, but I connected with her character immediately. I knew her story would be interesting, but didn’t consider how much it would affect me. Once her secret is revealed guess what I did. Yep, cried again!

Okay, now that we’re done with that I have to say I wasn’t a sobbing crying mess throughout this book. It’s a super fun and sexy read. I just wanted to highlight the emotional aspect of the story beforehand. Henry is hilarious, flirty, sexy, totally inappropriate at time, but BBF perfection. He and Sarah are super cute together.

Here’s what I absolutely loved:

This book finally gave me an excuse to totally perv out on Joseph Morgan. I kept picturing him while reading Henry. Here’s some of my inspiration. You’re welcome!

‘Speechless, love? Was it something I said?” His hands slide up my skirt, grasping my panties and skimming them off my hips and down my legs.’

l‘”That’s good, so good, love.“‘

‘”That’s it, love. That’s it.”‘

So to sum up, Royally Matched has it all! It is a well-rounded royally perfect romance! Buy or borrow this book as soon as possible, you won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend it.

Royally Matched delivered!!

I couldn’t believe it but I loved Henry MORE than Nicholas – sigh!!

Henry was the perfect blend of naughty and sweet. He was a bit lost at the beginning. Thrust into the position of heir to the crown. Unprepared. But not necessarily unwilling. He was just not ready yet, and he drowned his doubts in alcohol and girls.

Until he overheard his brother’s undeniable faith in him. He was astonished to hear Nicholas’s prediction that he would make a better King than Nicholas ever could have been. That was exactly what Henry needed to hear. It didn’t turn him into a choirboy overnight, but it gave him the strength to believe in himself.

His decision to be the star of a reality show might not have seemed like such a great idea, but in the end it turned out to be the RIGHT one.

Sarah and Henry had this wonderful connection from the very first moment.

They didn’t have to pretend or hold back. Henry could be Henry, and Sarah felt more confident to come out of her shell. Henry was so very gentle with her, but still challenged her in such a sweet way that it never overwhelmed her. He definitely showed her his gentler more sweeter site.

Their friendship turned into something deeper. Gradually, and naturally their mutual attraction brought them even closer. Henry found in Sarah a confidant, someone that listened without judging. A person that supported his ideas and didn’t belittle his wild ways.

The idea of having Henry being part of a bachelor tv show was hilarious. At the beginning Henry thought it was a free for all, lots of making out, sex and having fun – he found out differently.

After meeting Sarah, he rapidly lost interest in doing anything wild with any of the contestants. He came to understand Nicholas position that something were just more important in live. And Sarah became very IMPORTANT to Henry.

The entire story was wonderfully sweet – a picture perfect fairytale!!!

I loved it!!

It was one of those feel-good stories. Royally Matched left me with a warm glow. I smiled non-stop. And I wouldn’t have changed a word, paragraph, or chapter in the entire book.

A swoony prince and a shy girl that believed in romance, and a happily ever after. I think we all would have loved to be in Sarah’s shoes – at least I DID!!! ♥♥♥♥

Royally Matched – Emma Chase

Some men are born responsible, some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap.

He’s not handling it well.

Hoping to help her grandson to rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora agrees to give him “space”—but while the Queen’s away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:

Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.

A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world’s most beautiful blue bloods gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara, only one will capture the handsome prince’s heart.

While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight, literally, for his affection, it’s the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner—with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint—who catches his eye.

The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit… and her naughty sense of humor.

But Rome wasn’t built in a day—and irresponsible royals aren’t reformed overnight.

As he endeavors to right his wrongs, old words take on whole new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like, Duty, Honor and most of all—Love.

  1. Loved your review, Corina! I couldn’t had said it better. This book was just pure goodness and I’m glad you appreciated it too. Henry and Sarah may be one of my favorite couples ever. Even those last plot twists, that left me flabbergasted, further cemented my opinion about them being the perfect match. Also, Sarah is perfect as future Queen.

    1. When they met the mother and grandchild on the tarmac – right there!!! Perfect future queen and king moment ♥♥♥♥♥

  2. OMG, I almost cried at that scene. Nicholas was right: Henry, with Sarah at his side, could really become a better king than Nicholas himself. He just cares so much about his people!

I also hope Chase will write novellas/short stories/extras about these two the way she did with Tangled.

      1. It will be about Logan and Ellie. They recently released the Blurb. I’m so excited because they seem such an odd pair. The broody body-guard and the bubbly teen. For the same reason, I’m also kinda wary, but I would now trust Chase with my own life; I’m sure I’ll love it. Although, I have to admit, I was loving all that royal jazz. I hope him being a ‘commoner’ doesn’t lead the series away from the original idea.

          1. Exactly! That Ellie. I was a bit confused because in the first two books she’s presented as a teen. Like… jailbait. And I’d pictured Logan as some kind of thirty-something guy. So I guess he’s probably younger than I imagined.

  3. I think that was Simon… Franny’s husband, if I’m not mistaken. Logan’s the bodyguard Nicholas left in NY to supervise Olivia’s family since she’s now a celebrity.

  4. Me too. Especially after reading about Franny’s past. I found incredible how the author managed to tell her story in such few words and still holding the emotional punch of a novel of its own. I adored its scene. It showed a totally different aspect of Franny that made me re-evaluate her as a character. I think also a novella about the two of them would be cool.

    1. So very true!! She sounds like an incredibly interesting and complex character. A former mean girl has lots of stories to tell. 😉
