Real Good Man & Real Good Love – Meghan March

I’ve been on a Meghan March audiobook binge trip ever since I listened to Bad Judgment in January. My library had her books only available as audiobooks, but lucky for me the audio editions were awesome. All of her books were narrated by a female and a male narrator, and I absolutely LOVED the voice of the guy. I could definitely fall in love with just his voice.

And when he started talking filthy – I was all ears. YUM. That guy had a voice that mad me MELT!!!!!

After Bad Judgment I listened to the Dirty Billionaire trilogy and the  Dirty Love duet, both were exceptionally entertaining and captivating.

But Real Good Man & Real Good Love was the BEST so far.

This book was all about characters for me. The plot has been talked about hundreds of times, I’m going to skip that part and go straight to Banner and Logan.

With Banner Regent, the author created a character that was totally up my alley.

I LOVED her.

She was snarky, witty, strong, and gave as good as she got. iShe didn’t pull her punches, and said exactly what she meant. She was strong willed and stubborn, always going full blast but also had a vulnerable site.

She was unique!!!

Banner was different from all the other characters so far. She had her own unique voice that I found just adorable and utterly endearing. And she was the perfect Yin to Logan Brantley’s Yang.

I thought Banner and Logan couldn’t have been any more perfect. Bruce and Wolverine – ADORABLE.

I loved Logan’s nickname for her, it was perfect, not too feminine, it channeled her nature perfectly – strong, explosive, at times brash and brazen.

Banner adjusted surprisingly easy to being part of a couple. Her willingness to go the extra mile, her attitude and assertive way to handle crises and confrontation was so unique to HER.

Logan, not too macho – just the right amount, was an antidote to all the NY men that Banner was getting tired of. iHe was REAL, down to earth, treaded women with respect but also took over when needed, and gave Banner the lead or distance she needed.

He accepted that she was her own person, with her own dreams, business, and life. He didn’t overpower or overwhelm. Which was good because she wasn’t someone that was easily overpowered, Banner yielded when asked for – otherwise she was the captain of her own ship.

This duet was entirely character driven for me. It was all about Banner and Logan, their chemistry, characteristics and dynamic was what I enjoyed the most about this book. There was not one single boring moment in either book.

I honestly expected some kind of drama and/or misunderstanding to rear it’s ugly head and break them up, but was surprised how well both managed those hurdles and how maturely they both worked on resolving it.

The only thing I’ve noticed is that the authors male characters seem to blend more than actually stand out individually. Since I’ve read so many books of her lately the sex started to sound identically, and the guys sound the same as well. Logan was a bit more distinctive but I’m having trouble keeping the different guys apart. They all start to sound the same in the bedroom.:D

Banner was really the ONE that had the most unique and distinctive voice!!!!!!!

Nevertheless Meghan March has found in me a faithful fan and follower. And I can’t wait to read her next book.

Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She’s also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she’s ever had.
