CORINA’S REVIEW

Audiobook

This series has been a true pleasure. Sweet, funny, engaging. P.S. I Still Love You had everything I love about a YA contemporary novel. Wonderful dialogues that made me smile and laugh out loud, characters that were endearing, a family that made me envious, and a story that kept me engaged until the very end.

The Song sisters are one of my all time favorite fictional siblings. Their dynamic and just the way they treat each others is heart-warming. It surprised me how much I loved these two books. Especially the audiobook version. I still have to watch the movie, but so far it’s been an amazing listening experience.

What I loved most about this book were the down to earth characters and ultimate kindness that penetrated the Song family. They were picture perfect in a realistic way. Also the subtle ways the author included her Korean culture into these books, added to the overall enjoyment. She kept it classy, low-key, without overwhelming the reader.

Peter was still a guy that fascinated me. His loyalty to his ex got him into trouble this time. But I’m loving the way Lara Jean had him figured out. She knew his weaknesses but still decided to stick with him instead of the safer choice JOHN AMBROSE MCCLAREN. John sounded pretty perfect to me, but I really enjoyed Peter’s personality traits. He didn’t make it easy on Lara Jean, and pushed her buttons in an entertaining way.

I’m looking forward to book 3. Now I just need to decide if I’ll red the regular book or if I buy the audiobook since neither of my libraries (plural) has it – which is a bummer.

  1. Honestly I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I thought I was too old for this kind of YA – lol. Boy was I mistaken, I adored both books way too much. 😀
