Hello to my first Odds & End blog post. Each month, around the middle of the month, I’ll start blogging about the odds & ends that didn’t fit into their own blog posts. Book news, minor book hauls, TV & movies, and anything else I would love to chat about.

Let’s get started…
Odds & Ends / October Edition
1) I finally finished Stranger Things season three. The ending was incredibly sad, but I already saw possible Season 4 spoilers, and I’m rooting for the impossible. I was a bit surprised how much I LOVE this show. Probably the combination of wonderful dialogues, a great cast, and the different age groups all working together was what made it such an addicting show for me. I definitely have my favorite characters; Dustin, Joyce, and Hopper are just a few.
2) Ever since reading Well Met I knew I wanted to go to this year’s Ren Faire. It actually will be my second time going there. No surprises, but I had the BEST time at my first ever Renaissance Faire, even though I came back home dusty, grimy and tired. This time I’m going to document my visit and take photos. Maybe a possible future blog post is coming…
3) This week was a bit chaotic. Maybe some of you have seen it in the news, but we experienced ‘apocalyptic’ times in the Bay Area, our electricity was shut off, to prevent wildfires from breaking out, and I’m a bit shocked to realize how much I depend on electricity. Just the idea of showering with cold water felt nightmarish to me. And that doesn’t even compare to all the food in the fridge and freezer that would have been spoiled, if the outage would last more than a couple hours. I was lucky, and didn’t experience any outage, but many weren’t.
4) My friend Sophie’s (Beware of the Reader) discussion blog post got me thinking… As a blogger the question always arrises, who do we blog for? For readers, or other bloggers. I believe my audience is for the most part readers, 5/8 of my clicks come from search engines, Goodreads and Pinterest. Only a small amount comes from WordPress. I thought that was an interesting reveal.
5) My most favorite movie at the moment is still Call my By Your Name
6) It’s finally cooing down here int he Bay Area, and it feels like autumn has arrived at last. The nights are getting cooler, and the temperatures are getting closer to scarf weather – which is my favorite time of the year.
7) I don’t often purchase Book Boxes anymore, but this month I splurged on the Illumicrate’s November box, In Search Of Doors. It will come with an exclusive edition of THE STARLESS SEA by Erin Morgenstern. I’m getting more and more interested in specially editions.
8) And last but not least, two beautiful Bookstagram accounts I love to follow, @bookstackedblonde and @booksandacupofjoee
Have a wonderful week, and until next time..

I didn’t know California had such power outage Corina! This is my nightmare when winter comes with our power plant not being powerful enough …and thanks for the shoutout!
It was a nightmare, but since it the first time they ever shut off power to prevent wildfires, we were all a little unprepared. It might become an annual occurrence, we’ll see.
