Most Anticipated Books of Spring 2019

January has already gone by, many states in the US are being pummeled by snow and cold, it’s time to look forward to spring and its many awesome new book releases. Tjuana and I sat down and picked the releases that mean the most to us.

Let’s start with February even though it has already started…

February 2019

Polaris Rising (Consortium Rebellion #1) by Jessie Mihalik

Release Date: February 5th 2019

This book is one of my most highly anticipated books of the year, and all thanks to Ilona Andrews. One of my most favorite genres are Urban Fantasy and Sci-Fic romances, unfortunately there aren’t that many authors that either write it or whose style works for me. So this book is a MUST READ, I already pre-ordered the paperback, and truly hope I’ll love it.

A space princess on the run and a notorious outlaw soldier become unlikely allies in this imaginative, sexy space opera adventure—the first in an exciting science fiction trilogy.

In the far distant future, the universe is officially ruled by the Royal Consortium, but the High Councillors, the heads of the three High Houses, wield the true power. As the fifth of six children, Ada von Hasenberg has no authority; her only value to her High House is as a pawn in a political marriage. When her father arranges for her to wed a noble from House Rockhurst, a man she neither wants nor loves, Ada seizes control of her own destiny. The spirited princess flees before the betrothal ceremony and disappears among the stars.

TJ is a HUGE fan of Meghan March, and she has talked non-stop about Forge ever since reading Deal with the Devil. She is counting down the days, and probably will turn into a hermit when Luck of the Devil hits her kindle. For her, Meghan March is an auto-buy author that delivers consistently OTT alpha hero’s that work their seductive magic on more than just the heroine.

New York Times bestselling author Meghan March continues the story of ruthless, calculating billionaire Jericho Forge in Luck of the Devil.

My poker face has always been my greatest asset, along with my grit and determination. I was beholden to no one. Asked permission for nothing.

Then Jericho Forge took my life by storm.

I traded my freedom for something infinitely more precious, but I didn’t realize Forge was holding an unbeatable hand.

Now, all I have to do is survive the high-stakes game my life has become—with my heart intact.

But not falling in love with Forge will take the luck of the devil.

The Risk (Briar U #2)by Elle Kennedy

Release Date: February 18

After falling in love with THE CHASE last year, its sequel is a highly anticipated novel. Just imagine – new adult, college, sports romance – all wrapped in one and you got THE CHASE. I’m a big fan of all things new adult college romance and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed The Chase. I’ll be probably calling in sick on February 18th – lol.

A sexy standalone novel from New York Times and international bestselling author Elle Kennedy.

THE RISK takes you back to the world of hot hockey players, feisty heroines, bro banter, and steamy scenes…
Everyone says I’m a bad girl. They’re only partly right—I don’t let fear rule me, and I certainly don’t care what people think. But I draw the line at sleeping with the enemy. As the daughter of Briar’s head hockey coach, I’d be vilified if I hooked up with a player from a rival team.
And that’s who Jake Connelly is. Harvard’s star forward is arrogant, annoying, and too attractive for his own good. But fate is cruel—I require his help to secure a much-coveted internship, and the sexy jerk isn’t making it easy for me.
I need Connelly to be my fake boyfriend.
For every fake date…he wants a real one.

Shay Savage has always captivated the reader’s mind with unique and out of the box kind of stories. She is a truly versatile author and wrote one of the most unique romance novels ever, Transcendence. She also gave me one of my most beloved jerks Sebastian Stark and a beautiful young adult novel Win Some, Lose Some about a boy with Asperger. The Girl He Used to Know - Tracey Garvis Graves

The Girl He Used to Know by Tracey Garvis Graves

Release Date: April 2

I had the privilege of reading this book early, and all I can say is WOW!!! It was poignant, touching, and emotional. It features an incredibly unique and memorable heroine that carries this story with moving and heart-stirring flair.

New York Times bestselling author of On the Island, Tracey Garvis Graves, presents the compelling, hopelessly romantic audiobook of unconditional love.

Annika (rhymes with Monica) Rose is an English major at the University of Illinois. Anxious in social situations where she finds most people’s behavior confusing, she’d rather be surrounded by the order and discipline of books or the quiet solitude of playing chess.

Release Date: April 9

Helena Hunting is an author that TJ and I have both followed and adored for years now. Her rom-coms are famous and deliver every single time. Her stories are the antidote to all things dark and overly emotional – they make us laugh and chuckle in a way that only a Helena Hunting book can do.

Talk about an embarrassing introduction. On her first day of law school, Kailyn ran – quite literally – into the actor she crushed on as a teenager, ending with him sprawled on top of her. Mortified to discover the Daxton Hughes was also a student in her class, her embarrassment over their meet-cute quickly turned into a friendship she never expected. Of course, she never saw his betrayal coming either…

Cruel Fortune (Cruel #2) by K.A. Linde

Release Date: April 23rd 2019

TJ is obsessed with this author, ever since she read her YA fantasy series. And since the billionaire romance trope is a favorite of ours – this is a win-win for her.

I finally have everything I ever wanted–fame and fortune and literary success.

Only one problem: I lost my muse.

He was tall, dark, and handsome. Broody, enigmatic, alluring, and right for me in every way.

Until he wasn’t. Until I lost everything.

And I can’t lose it all again. I’ll do anything to keep it.

Even seeing him again…

MAY 2019

The Bride Test by Helen Hoang

Release Date: May 7

I really enjoyed last year’s The Kiss Quotient and have high hopes that The Bride Test will be equally enjoyable. But high expectations are often the crux that makes things go haywire, so I’m keeping my expectations low. Just hoping for an enjoyable and entertaining romance novel, from an author whose debut novel already impressed me with its exceptional writing and style.

From the critically acclaimed author of The Kiss Quotient comes a romantic novel about love that crosses international borders and all boundaries of the heart…

Khai Diep has no feelings. Well, he feels irritation when people move his things or contentment when ledgers balance down to the penny, but not big, important emotions—like grief. And love. He thinks he’s defective. His family knows better—that his autism means he just processes emotions differently. When he steadfastly avoids relationships, his mother takes matters into her own hands and returns to Vietnam to find him the perfect bride.

Most Anticipated Books of Spring 2019

Release Date: May 14

This is by far my most favorite cover by this author couple. Last year was a BIG Christina Lauren year for me, I read my first ever CL book Autoboyography and enjoyed it so much that I read 5 other novels by them throughout 2018. They feature some of the most awesomest friends and couples in romance literature. I’m in love with every of their characters and experience real envy whenever I read about their awesome circle of friends (if that makes any sense).

For two sworn enemies, anything can happen during the Hawaiian trip of a lifetime—maybe even love—in this romantic comedy from the New York Times bestselling authors of Roomies.

Olive is always unlucky: in her career, in love, in…well, everything. Her identical twin sister Amy, on the other hand, is probably the luckiest person in the world. Her meet-cute with her fiancé is something out of a romantic comedy (gag) and she’s managed to finance her entire wedding by winning a series of Internet contests (double gag). Worst of all, she’s forcing Olive to spend the day with her sworn enemy, Ethan, who just happens to be the best man.
Olive braces herself to get through 24 hours of wedding hell before she can return to her comfortable, unlucky life. But when the entire wedding party gets food poisoning from eating bad shellfish, the only people who aren’t affected are Olive and Ethan. And now there’s an all-expenses-paid honeymoon in Hawaii up for grabs.

Dirty Charmer (The Bodyguards #1) by Emma Chase

Release Date: May 14

Emma Chase is an auto-buy author for both of us. Especially after her Royally series and our love for all things Logan. We fell in love with this series and have devoured her books ever since. Getting the stories about the Bodyguards is a real treat and we are looking forward to be royally enchanted.

Abigail Haddock is stunning, sensible, and some would say…stuffy. But it’s not really her fault. She was raised in one of Wessco’s oldest, most affluent, aristocratic families—“stuffy” is their middle name. So is successful. Abby’s working overtime to distinguish herself as a top-notch physician, just as her family legacy demands.
