Questions

1. Best book you’ve read so far in 2019?

I listened to the audiobook of Daisy Jones and was blown away by the story, the narrators (it’s a full cast) and the format.

It was unique, different and mind blowing.

Daisy Jones & the Six was my first book by TJR but I don’t think I could have picked up a better one to see if I liked her writing. I’m still thinking about it every now and then. It was fantastic. Probably the best audiobook I ever listened to.

2. Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2019?

Us Against You - Fredrik BackmanIt’s not often that a sequel is better than the first book.
Us Against You was an exception.

It was a stunning work of fiction, and truly a testament of the author’s skill of spinning captivating, engrossing stories that enthrall but also are thought provoking at the same time.

3. New release you haven’t read yet, but want to?

Verity is probably the book I want to read the most but also don’t at the same time, if that makes any sense.

I admit I’m extremely nervous about picking it up, and I’m not sure if I’ll ever be brave enough for the mindfuck that this book supposedly is.

4. Most anticipated release for the second half of 2019?

5. Biggest disappointment?

I had a couple books that didn’t exactly deliver. They weren’t bad, but I didn’t enjoy them as much as I thought I would.

Red, White & Royal Blue - Casey McQuiston What the Wind Knows - Amy Harmon  The Bride Test - Helen Hoang PRETTY RECKLESS - L.J. Shen - Cover Reveal

6. Biggest surprise?

All of these books were amazing, unique, entertaining, outstanding in one way or the other. I would recommend them to anyone.

Rock Bottom Girl - Lucy Score The Rosie Result - Graeme Simsion Rules of Redemption - T.A. White

7. Favorite new author?

Beth O’Leary – I loved her debut novel The Flatshare

TA White – her sci-fi novel Rules of Redemption was fantastic, my new favorite genre

Meagan Brandy – I’m hooked on her YA drama series

Jessie Mihalik – science fiction is my newest obsession, and Polaris Rising was the perfect combination of sci-fi and romance – loved it

check out my new to me authors of 2019

8. Newest fictional crush?

Miro Jones and Ian Doyle

I was OBSESSED with this series, and I have a crush on Miro and Ian – best couple of 2019. One of the best MM romances I have read in a long time.

All Kinds of Tied Down - Mary Calmes

9. Newest favorite character?

see #8 above ^^

10. Book that made you cry?

Can’t remember any specific book so far

11. Book(s) that made you happy?

Loved them all in one way or the other.

12. Favorite book to movie adaptation you saw this year?

To All the Boys I've Loved Before - Jenny Han

I don’t often watch movies that are based on books, but I finally watched To All The Boys I Loved Before and loved it.

13. Favorite review you’ve written this year?

If I loved a book, writing a review is easy. But I don’t think I have a favorite review, more like favorite books or audiobooks.

14. Most beautiful book you bought so far this year?

I bought both the US and UK edition of The Flatshare – so yeah, I loved the book and the covers.

The Flatshare - Beth O'Leary

15. What books do you need to read by the end of the year?

too many – lol

  1. I still need to read Verity too! I’ve heard really good things but I’ve been nervous to pick it up because romance thrillers can be so hit or miss 🙈

    1. Yes – the review are all over the place – either they hated it or loved it – nothing in between. So it will be interesting to see which category I’ll fall into. 😀

    1. Same here – hyped books rarely work for me, and then it took me 20% to really get into the style – but from there one – AWESOME!!! I even got my bestie to read it, and she rarely reads any of the books I hype – lol.

    2. Oh and yes, I have high hopes for Middlegame. My audiobook ran out before I got really into it, so I bought the hardcover. But what I’ve read so far sounded fantastic. Different.
