Love, Sincerely, Yours – Sara Ney, Meghan Quinn

Instead of reading the blurb I went blind into Love, Sincerely, Yours. Color me surprised when I found out that it was a office romance – eye roll. After all I love office romances, so I was beyond happy when I started this book and was sucked right into Peyton and Rome’s shenanigans.

Furthermore I love witty email correspondence, and Love, Sincerely, Yours had plenty of those as well.

In essence, Love, Sincerely, Yours was an easy and fun read.

Obviously I loved Peyton and Rome’s chemistry. Furthermore, I loved how well Peyton knew Rome, just by observation. In fact, it was proof of her longterm crush on him, even though poor Rome was oblivious the way only men can be. Additionally, Rome was such a rigid and prim guy. As a result it was wonderful seeing him lose some of his stiffness because of Peyton. Seeing a guy get all gooey because of a girl, makes me root for him even more.

Love, Sincerely, Yours also had one of the best bromances I read this year.

I was laughing and eye rolling with Rome about Hunter’s antics. Whenever they had a scene together I started smiling like a lunatic. It was notably how well Rome and Hunter clicked. Even though their personalities were polar opposite, their life long friendship was cemented in a deep and mutual respect and loyalty. A true friendship between opposites that lasted decades – friendship goals right there!!!

I would consider this novel a slow burn. The couples chemistry became more and more pronounced throughout the book, and the last quarter of the book was deliciously sexy.

All in all, Love, Sincerely, Yours was a wonderful and entertaining read.

It was funny and had me chuckling constantly. I was delighted by the characters, their interactions, dialogues and supporting cast. It was truly a solid and fantastic first collaboration between the authors. And the epilogue hints for MORE.

Hunter was my favorite character besides the main couple. His bromance with Rome was HILARIOUS!!!! And It sounds like he gets his own story after all. Poor Rome, that’s all I’m saying.

I really enjoyed this office romance. The setup was exactly what I love in a office romance. Secret identity, witty banter, super fun correspondence! It was all well concieved and executed.

It’s funny, quirky, sexy, and has great banter.

This trope is kinda my jam! Asshole boss and great banter do it for me every single time. This collaboration is like a marriage made in Heaven. The authors truly complement each other.

The book is laugh out loud funny, well written, and a super fun read/listen.

Audiobook Review – I adored the book! It was super cute and had some banter. The narration was pretty good, but I have to say, the male narrator’s attempts at sounding like a female made me cringe. Yikes!

Other than that, this is a total win. Definitely recommended!

Dear Mister…**strike out** no, too formal.
Hey there sweet cheeks *strike out* no, too forward.

To whom it may concern,
Full disclosure; before we move forward with this email, I would like it to be known that I have consumed an adequate amount of alcoholic beverages to intoxicate myself tonight. Three margaritas, two shots, and one beer—because it was free.
I think it’s important to be open and honest with your co-workers, don’t you?
So here I am, being honest. Drunk but honest. Or just drunk with lust? You decide.
I like you so much it’s clouding my judgment and making me do things I never would sober. Like write this letter.
I have a hopeless, foolish, schoolgirl crush on you when you are the last person on earth I should be falling for. Did you know people around the office call you a sadist? An egomaniac. An insensitive, arrogant prick. Your bark is worse then your bite, and you don’t scare me. The fact is, I’d love that bite of yours to nip at my bare skin while we’re both wearing nothing but sheets.
For once I want you to look at me as more than one of your employees.
And as long as we’re being honest, that navy blue suit you wear? With the crisp white shirt? It really makes me want to loosen your tie and show you who’s boss.

    1. Sara Ney’s Douchebags are my all time favorite books by her. This one is a rom-com. You’ll get some Sara Ney vibes but I don’t think it has her signature wit or snark. But all in all it was entertaining, fun, and sexy.
