I love this series so much. That’s just fact. Every single book is a pleasure to read.

Leverage in Death was thrilling, full of favorite characters and a plot that was riveting and exciting. But best of all, the author gave me many scenes of Roarke and Eve.

In Leverage in Death Eve is hunting the elusive WHY. Trying to find answers to why, who, and how the cases and people are linked. The search is taking a toll on her because she cares so much, and every death is a another burden on her shoulders.

The story was as always well plotted, thrilling, and kept me glued to the pages. It’s no surprise that I read Leverage in Death in one sitting. The case was truly fascinating. Tragic but fascinating. I loved how much time Eve and Roarke were able to spend together on this case. Even though Roarke is always incredibly busy, he consistently has time for his Lieutenant. And Eve’s willingness to ask for help is endearing and an example of her trust and growth over the years. She is less stubborn and more willing to compromise. Eve has without any doubt come a long way.

There were some amazingly touching and deeply satisfying scenes in this book. Scenes that made me smile and sigh. The author always manages to add small nuances to the relationships Eve has with the rest of the cast. Her ongoing war with the candy thief. Or her obvious helplessness regarding Bella. And Eve’s willingness to go the extra mile for her partner left me smiling so hard. I love her so much!!!! Flaws and all, she is one of my favorite characters EVER!!!

This is by far one of my most favorite mystery series.

The suspense, romance, and interaction between the characters is what makes me come back again and again. If I’m ever stranded on an island, I would want to have this series with me. It never gets old.

For the airline executives finalizing a merger that would make news in the business world, the nine a.m. meeting would be a major milestone. But after marketing VP Paul Rogan walked into the plush conference room, strapped with explosives, the headlines told of death and destruction instead. The NYPSD’s Eve Dallas confirms that Rogan was cruelly coerced by two masked men holding his family hostage. His motive was saving his wife and daughter―but what was the motive of the masked men?

Despite the chaos and bad publicity, blowing up one meeting isn’t going to put the brakes on the merger. All it’s accomplished is shattering a lot of innocent lives. Now, with the help of her billionaire husband Roarke, Eve must untangle the reason for an inexplicable act of terror, look at suspects inside and outside both corporations, and determine whether the root of this crime lies in simple sabotage, or something far more complex and twisted.

    1. Jonetta – I certainly feel blessed being able to read this series early!! You read the entire series three times already? All 40 something books??????

      1. I read it three times when it was 35 books. Still…I was obsessed with the series and flew through them the first time. So, I read them again. And then one more time. This was, of course, before I discovered Goodreads and friends flooded my TBR with new authors and titles.
