Emerson just made her dream come true as a professional cheerleader for her favorite pro football team. But even though the plus-size athlete is breaking down boundaries, she still has to contend with the massive rulebook. Carbs? Nope. Chocolate? Definitely not. Still, Emerson loves her curves, and she’ll rock the hell out of this job even if it kills her. Except for one mandate that is easier read than done…

No fraternizing with the players.

Problem one is Miller Quinton: Emerson’s first love, first sex, and the guy who still ignites her daydreams and R-rated fantasies. Thrown back together, Miller and Emerson feel the undeniable pull of passion again, even if the conflict that tore them apart seems insurmountable. Then there’s way-too-sexy Grant Sanchez. He has a serious reputation with the ladies, and when it comes to winning someone he wants, he doesn’t let anyone stand in his way.

Now Emerson is breaking every rule in the manual. But what she doesn’t know is that she’s part of a wicked little game—one that could steal both her dream and her heart.

CORINA’S REVIEW

After a certain triangle trilogy left me crushed and with a bleeding heart, I decided NOT to read anymore triangle stories for the foreseeable future. Yeah, apparently I totally lied. I read TWO, yes TWO triangle stories in TWO days.

The good thing about the entire triangle situation was that BOTH authors did a marvelous job of writing two very satisfying novels.

FRATERNIZE was a novel I really enjoyed. Not only because of the storyline but especially because of the way RVD decided to resolve the triangle. I truly LOVED it. The plot worked for the book. I enjoyed the natural progression, the friendships, the growing apart and finding each other again. The way friendships last, and change over time.

RVD really, truly WOWED me with this book.

I loved the plot, the characters, but especially the interactions between the cast and the friendships that developed over time.

Emerson was a girl after my own heart. Plus size, strong willed, funny, genuine, and someone that I could call a friend. She had a HUGE heart, and a personality that matched it and men flocked to her like bears to honey. Two men exactly. Both awesome, loyal, devoted and totally in love with her – choices!!!!

But my heart belonged to Grant. He was the bad boy with a golden heart. He adored Emerson from the very beginning, understood her better than she did herself, and he loved her exactly as she was. His patience made me swoon, and  his determination to win her over had my heart go all warm and gooey. I fell in love with him, head over heels and I wouldn’t want to change it, not even for Miller.

Actually I loved them both, Miller and Grant, and the way RVD developed the story made me love them even more. I was truly happy with the outcome. I didn’t feel like my heart was ripped into shreds and stomped on. And I absolutely adored the epilogue of FRATERNIZE – it gave a little teaser of what was to come – which makes the wait until Infraction (Players Game #2) is being released in January so much longer.

Now let’s talk about the audiobook performance. I was positively surprised to find out that there were THREE narrators for FRATERNIZE, which makes sense, but still I didn’t expect it. I thought all three narrators did a fabulous job. There was a true distinction between the male voices, which made it much easier to distinguish Miller from Grant. FRATERNIZE was a truly captivating as well as a marvelous performance by the narrators. I can’t wait to read Infraction (Players Game #2).

    1. Viki – I’m so glad I’m not the only one that feels like that. I HATE love triangles – but this one was AMAZING!!!!!
