TAKE ME BACK by Meghan March
We fell in love on a beach, got married in paradise, and I carried her off into the sunset. It should have been perfect, but saying “I do” doesn’t guarantee a happily-ever-after.
Two years later, I barely recognize either of us behind the walls we’ve built.
It’s time to bring it full circle. Back to a tropical paradise. Back to find out if we can still make this work.
I’m not willing to give her up, but to save us, I have to risk everything.
Two damaged people.
The fight of our lives.
We might be broken, but we’re not done.
So far I have not yet been disappointed by Meghan March. Her books have always managed to draw me in, and hook me from the very first page. Take Me Back wasn’t any different.
Take Me Back had everything I was looking for:
A hot alpha male,
a damsel in distress
and an exotic location.
Additionally I was intrigued by the premise of a married couple having trouble in their marriage. Because real life is not all rosy and shit. A marriage as well as a relationship requires hard work. It was refreshing to read about a fictional couple having real life relationship woes – which just made this book so much more interesting to me.
Dean and Kat met each other on vacation and their instant attraction was followed by weekend getaways and consequently marriage.
Tragic events led to Kat building walls that not even Dean could bridge. They grew apart until Dean took it in his hands to change the status quo. He booked an anniversary vacation for Kat and himself to give themselves time to mend their marriage.
On a small and far off island in Belize, they took the time to leave everyday life and work behind and concentrate on their relationship.
This book had it all.
A couple that had intense chemistry, and fun between the sheets, an exotic location that sounded like paradise, and action that had me glued to the pages. Add fast paced chapters, that were thrilling and action loaded to the brim and you got yourself a grade A suspense novel.
I really felt a connection between Dean and Kat. It was obvious why they got together in the first place and it broke my heart to find out why they grew apart. I rooted and cheered for them until the very last page.
Take Me Back by Meghan March was utterly entertaining and all in all wonderful!!
