Sweet & Sexy – a must read!!!
Sparks fly between a misunderstood New York socialite and a cynical divorce lawyer in this lively standalone rom-com from the USA Today bestselling author of Blurred Lines and Love Story.
Pampered heiress Georgianna Watkins has a party-girl image to maintain, but all the shopping and clubbing is starting to feel a little bit hollow—and a whole lot lonely. Though Georgie would never admit it, the highlights of her week are the mornings when she comes home at the same time as her uptight, workaholic neighbor is leaving to hit the gym and put in a long day at the office. Teasing him is the most fun Georgie’s had in years—and the fuel for all her naughtiest daydreams.
Celebrity divorce attorney Andrew Mulroney doesn’t have much time for women, especially spoiled tabloid princesses who spend more time on Page Six than at an actual job. Although Georgie’s drop-dead gorgeous, she’s also everything Andrew resents: the type of girl who inherited her penthouse instead of earning it. But after Andrew caps one of their predawn sparring sessions with a surprise kiss—a kiss that’s caught on camera—all of Manhattan is gossiping about whether they’re a real couple. And nobody’s more surprised than Andrew to find that the answer just might be yes.
As a huge fan of ‘opposite attract’, and after reading the blurb I knew I had to read this book.
It was FUN, SEXY, LIGHT-HEARTED and had great banter.
I love opposite attract – it usually starts with great banter, sexual tension and leads to more fun along the way.
In Walk of Shame I started to adore Andrew Mulroney from the very first moment. He, a divorce lawyer of the rich and famous, was so stuffy and seemed to have NO humor at all. But behind the scenes, he was adorable.
Georgianna Watkins, a wealthy socialite in Manhattan, was easy to love. She was genuinely good, even so she liked to party, she was a trust fund baby and bubbly and fun to be around – like I said she was incredibly easy to like and I would kill to have her as my BFF. 😀
Georgianna and Andrew seemed to be like oil and water. Nothing Georgie said made an impression on Andrew. He thought she was RIDICULOUS – perfectly ridiculous.:D
I loved Andrew. He worked so HARD. All he did was work, went to the gym, and worked some more. There was no fun or light-heartedness anywhere in his life- that’s why Georgianna was so PERFECT for him. She was the easy going girl, sexy, sweet, seemingly immune to his grouchiness and she brought a smile to his lips.
I LOVED how both were secretly scheduling their times in such a way that they would pass each other in the lobby each morning.
It was ADORABLE!!!
Andrew and Georgie were such a wonderful and cute couple.
They were clearly opposite in their personality but that didn’t mean that they weren’t perfectly matched because of it. Georgie gave Andrew a part that was dearly missing in his life. Someone to come home to, to cook, to sit and curl up on the coach with. Suddenly his life was not all about work and gym.
It didn’t surprise me how easy it was for Georgie to change her priorities. She was ready for a guy in her life – she was ready for Andrew.
Lauren Layne never failed to deliver heroes I fall hard for. Andrew was such a grouch. He kept his feelings and emotions so tightly locked that it took Georgie quite a while to break through his walls. But Georgie was everything else than a quitter. She was fine with taking baby steps, and her strategy was definitely working out for her. I loved watching these two completely opposite people fall head over heels in love with each other
Walk of Shame (Love Unexpectedly #4) by Lauren Layne was such an “enchanting” story that I read it in one sitting. You couldn’t have pried it from my hands. 😀
