“Nine ruthless men. Nine unrepentant sinners. Nine irresistible manipulators that would do you a favor if you promised to pay the price.”

Ninth Circle.
Treachery.
Also known as Tanner Caine.
He is a temptation with cold, dark eyes.
A man with a seductive smirk and a body built for pure sin.
The linchpin of a group of wealthy bad boys known as the Inferno.
A dark presence that repels as much as he attracts, Tanner is the poisoned apple I want to bite even when I know it will destroy me.
Our story started in college, but I ran from him so far I believed I was safe.
I should have known he’d find me eventually.
I should have known that nobody escapes.
He has me in his sights again with an offer I can’t pass up.
I know better than to make a deal with the Devil.
Not unless I’m willing to pay his sensual price…
***Each novel in the series depicts a unique romance, but the plots through each book connect in one world. For the best experience, read the series in order.
Nine Ruthless Men. Nine Unrepentant Sinners. Nine Irresistible Manipulators.
MY THOUGHTS
Tanner Caine is an Alphahole after my own heart. Gah! I lurve him!
This scorching hot cover drew me in, but special shout-out to my Bookgasms Babe and When Vane Reads for doing a modified buddy read with me to keep me on track!
Treachery is book one of nine, so I needed an extra nudge from these lovelies to get me started I’m so glad I picked this up. The over the top alpha vibes are through the roof in this book and I was here for it! Tanner is cunning, smart, and seductively sinister. He is a master of games and when he sets his sights on Luca, she has no choice of backing away. I thoroughly enjoyed the intricate plot, lovely writing, and amazing characters.
For the most part, the book was very exciting and well put together. Getting to know the dynamics of the characters and how the situation and circumstances unfolded was very exciting. It’s a pretty long book, but I breezed through quickly. The readability is excellent.
I immediately fell on love with Tanner. He’s a dreamboat for lovers of this type of bully romance. Getting to know all 9 of the Inferno brothers was a treat.
Luca held her own throughout the book. It was super fun to see her challenge Tanner at every turn. The angst and back and forth play between these two kept me engaged. I loved it.
So, why the lack of the 5th star? The book is not without a few minor flaws and editing issues. It’s a tad repetitive, repeated phrasing that’s used significantly throughout the novel plus a few loose ends that left me with questions. One in particular nagged me — why was a big deal made about Luca’s injuries when they were never addressed on page. Things like that pulled me out of the story, so while I loved it immensely it earns 4 stars. However, this book gets a high recommendation from me! If you like bully Romance, grabby hands!
