The knowledge that yielding to Maeve will doom those she loves keeps her from breaking, but her resolve is unraveling with each passing day…
With Aelin captured, friends and allies are scattered to different fates. Some bonds will grow even deeper, while others will be severed forever. As destinies weave together at last, all must fight if Erilea is to have any hope of salvation.
Years in the making, Sarah J. Maas’s New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series draws to an explosive conclusion as Aelin fights to save herself―and the promise of a better world.
“To whatever end.”
I should have known it would be a fantastic ending to this phenomenal series!! Although it took me a million years to finally finish this one, that fact has no real bearing on how much I love love loved it. Dragging my feet had more to do with personal preference for some of the more difficult scenes in the first 25% then enjoyment. So there’s that.
Overall the book left me speechless. It’s been a very long while since I’ve been so utterly drawn into a world and so emotionally wrapped up in a set of characters that I was nearly useless when the story came to a close. But that’s what happened here. I loved them all so much. I felt personally invested in their experiences. When they hurt, I hurt. When they triumphed, I felt as though I had also. I was all in for this experience.
It’s taken me weeks just to sit down and bumble through this semi coherent review. This was a experience unlike any other! I will remember, love and cherish these characters forever. If you’re a fan of epic, thrilling, and straight up genius storytelling. This series is definitely one for you!! I highly recommend it to everyone!
