Book Review – Hot Cop by Laurelin Paige & Sierra Simone

Hot cop and sexy librarian – enough said!!!

You have the right to remain sexy.

Anything you say can and will be used to get you in my bed.

You have the right to use my body to give yourself a delirious, life-changing orgasm.

If you have trouble…don’t worry, I’m a bit of an expert in that department.

There’s nothing ‘thin’ about my blue line, if you catch my drift, and trust me, I know how to put those handcuffs to good use.

Livia Ward wants a baby before she’s thirty.  And even though Officer Chase Kelly is exactly the kind of cocky jerk this librarian has sworn off, he is undeniably hot.  Both of them think they can give each other what they want–a few nights of fun for Officer Kelly, a no-strings baby for Livia–but this hot cop is about to learn that sex, babies, and love don’t always play by the rules.

From NYT Bestselling Author, Laurelin Paige and USA Today Bestselling Author, Sierra Simone comes a steamy contemporary romantic follow-up to last year’s bestseller P*rn Star.

Hot Cop by Laurelin Paige & Sierra Simone was a delicious blend of sexy, steamy and featuring a very charismatic and hot as hell cop.

I’ve always had a soft spot for sexy librarians and hot cops. They are almost at the opposite of the spectrum. Officer Chase was blunt, assertive and commanding. And Livia the librarian was earnest, reserved, and calm.

Livia knew what she wanted. Nearing her 30th birthday she heard the clock ticking and intended to do something about it. She needed a baby daddy. And even though insemination at a fertility clinic was an option, meeting Officer Chase was the solution to her problem.

Interestingly enough she had no problem at all telling him what she wanted from him. And surprise, surprise Chase was up for it. He never really planned on settling down or having his own family, his granddad, sister and his nephews were enough family and obligations. So giving Livia a child and walking away sounded like an easy arrangement.

Livia and Chase had intense chemistry in the bedroom. Chase was enamored by Livia’s quirkiness and thought the librarian was sexy and adorable as can be. He really loved to be with her, and having fun in the bedroom was just a bonus. I adored Chase, when he started borrowing books from the library to read up on pregnancies I couldn’t stop smiling.

And Livia really needed to get over turning 30. She turned into a drama lama! Turning 30 is not the end of the world. Her lamenting got a bit annoying the longer it went on.

She had that amazingly hot cop devoted to satisfy her every need in the bedroom and life. Someone that wanted to spent time with her in and out of bed, but unfortunately she couldn’t let go of her worries. She feared that she would get too attached to him, so keeping it clinical was her way of distancing herself from Chase – of course that didn’t work out for her at all.

What worked for me was the humor, the banter, Chase, the way he found everything Livia did adorable – that truly was what carried this book to the 4 star rating.

The book was truly adorable at times, sweet as can be, and sexy and steamy whenever Livia and Chase were heating up the sheets, the car, and anywhere else they deemed to get it on.

Even thought this author duo was new to me, I’ll be keeping my eyes open for their next collaboration. They definitely had a great balance going and the lol moments were the highlights of the entire book.
