Smart and sexy, brilliantly written, and wonderfully engaging!

Chloe Brown is a chronically ill computer geek with a goal, a plan, and a list. After almost—but not quite—dying, she’s come up with seven directives to help her “Get a Life”, and she’s already completed the first: finally moving out of her glamorous family’s mansion. The next items?
• Enjoy a drunken night out.
• Ride a motorcycle.
• Go camping.
• Have meaningless but thoroughly enjoyable sex.
• Travel the world with nothing but hand luggage.
• And… do something bad.
But it’s not easy being bad, even when you’ve written step-by-step guidelines on how to do it correctly. What Chloe needs is a teacher, and she knows just the man for the job.
Redford ‘Red’ Morgan is a handyman with tattoos, a motorcycle, and more sex appeal than ten-thousand Hollywood heartthrobs. He’s also an artist who paints at night and hides his work in the light of day, which Chloe knows because she spies on him occasionally. Just the teeniest, tiniest bit.
But when she enlists Red in her mission to rebel, she learns things about him that no spy session could teach her. Like why he clearly resents Chloe’s wealthy background. And why he never shows his art to anyone. And what really lies beneath his rough exterior…
MY THOUGHTS
Smart and sexy, brilliantly written, and wonderfully engaging!
Get a Life, Chloe Brown is a fantastic listen that completely engulfed me and would not let go! I’d kick my own behind if it were possible, since I waited way too long to listen to this gem of a story.
I happened to come across this super cute cover on bookstagram months ago so I grabbed the audio with every intention of listening at that time. To bad life had other plans! But I’m so so excited to have had the opportunity yesterday to dive in and I literally finished in one day. Red and Chloe’s story consumed me. It was exactly what I needed at the moment.
Here’s what I loved:
Chloe is complete and utter grump! I was fascinated from the very beginning, by this turn of events. Typically, for me the grumps and alphaholes are my catnip!I love them above all others, however, in this super cute and fun novel, the heroine is the grump. I love loved loved it!
Smart writing is everything! The writing and flow here is extremely good! It’s so intelligent and the main characters quit witted! I’m so looking forward to reading so much more from this new to me author.
Do not let this super cute cover fool you! Yes, I’m not completely on this trend yet, so ignore me. However, this book does not skimp on the simmer, burn, and steam I’ve come to love and expect from my favorite reads.
Again, it’s bloody brilliant. I’m so impressed how all the elements came together so seamlessly to create a fantastically well rounded romance that’s full of heart, emotion, and real life scenarios that’s sure to entertain romances readers everywhere. I loved it!!
Well we may disagree but I hate these covers, just not for the animated stuff to be honest. But I know I am in the minority but I LOVED this book so much. Talia Hibbert is a personal favorite of mine. Glad you had such a good time with this one here.
