1) A powerful and charismatic man lacking moral character
2) A magnificent bastard
3) Killian Black
You don’t know me.
You think you do, but you don’t.
The only thing you know is my name, and even that’s a lie.
I’m king of Boston, lord of criminals, ruler of an underworld empire. Or am I?
Only one thing’s for sure: I operate alone.
Until I cross paths with a brazen little thief who sets my whole kingdom on fire.
Just as two wrongs don’t make a right, two villains don’t belong together. Especially since she’s the daughter of my most deadly enemy.
Taking her would start a war.
Keeping her would be suicide.
Making her mine would break every code of honor and defy all common sense.
Then again, where’s the fun in following the rules?
I’d been hoping, waiting, and dreaming about this book since the trilogy. As soon as I met Killian in those earlier books, I knew I’d love him above all others. He didn’t disappoint!!
Cruel Paradise was not at all what I expected and I loved every single minute of it! Jules gave a Killian a run for his money, quite literally. She’s funny, brave, tenacious, and the perfect match for someone like Killian.
Here’s what I loved most:
The banter is on point. Not only the banter between Killian and Jules, but the girlfriends as well. Max and Fin are funny as hell. Complete and total nutters. Exactly the type of girls I’d want to call best friend.
This book was so much fun. The humor is top notch.
Liam is my BAE. So it was great to catch up with him and Tru. They’re the absolute cutest!
Last but not least, Killian is everything. Smart, sexy, commanding, and completely sprung for his girl. What’s not to love about that. There connection was instant and true to form he pursued her with conviction. I like that she gave him a run for his money. She’s obviously the complete opposite of me cause I would have married him on the first date! Yup! He’s that yummy!
So, another fantastic read from this versatile author. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
