CORINA’S REVIEW

Bentley was a dream come true.

I was immediately intrigued by the blurb, and so incredibly satisfied with the end result, that reading this novel was pure joy. The author delivered a well rounded, and perfectly balanced novel that was hard to put down. I actually read it in two sittings, I started to read before bed and finished in the morning.

With Bentley the author wrote a character that was gentle, protective, and distinctively different from her other heroes. He had flaws that didn’t overwhelm the overall composition of the book, instead they made him human, approachable, and utterly charming. I was delighted by him from the very first moment. I loved his interactions with Emmy, Aiden and Maddox. He was so buttoned up, somber, pragmatic and old fashioned. His journey, the way he opened up, and started to enjoy life was heartwarming. I loved seeing these changes, they made a true difference in his personality but also showed how much he was missing in life.

Emmy was ADORABLE!!!

She was feisty, strong and a tough cookie but never overpoweringly so. I admired how the author kept everyones persona balanced, just the right amount of quirky personality without stepping into the extreme. Emmy was the key to Bentley’s happiness. And it was palpable as well as tangible. Every second they were together Bentley opened up even more, let her in, and came out to play with her. His change was noticed by not only his best friends but also colleagues and the rest of the world. Emmy charmed EVERYONE – including me.

Together they were a perfect match. Like two pieces which were missing their other half.

Emmy was forward and open, Bentley restrained and private. They complimented each other, and the obvious chemistry and attraction was just the icing on the cake.

Now, the supporting cast was EXCELLENT. I adored his best friends Aiden and Maddox and can’t wait to read their stories. Best of all, it seems they already found their perfect partners which made me a very happy reader.

Obviously, I was incredibly pleased with this new novel by Melanie Moreland. I loved the plot but most of all I fell in love with the characters. Truly in love!!!

So, BRAVO!!! Job well done!

BLURB

Three young men meet in university and form a lifelong friendship.

Their pasts dictate the men they are, but their present shapes their future.

What happens when these men meet the one person they are destined to be with? Can they fight their feelings and walk away? Or will they each succumb and learn the sweet agony of love?

Bentley

The leader of the group. He is uptight, formal, and cold. Rigid and set in his ways, always following the same path. Until the day, he stumbles upon her.
Emmy.
She brings with her spontaneity and light. The world she lives in is so different from his, yet he cannot control the draw to her. Nor can he explain the way she makes him feel.
Happy.
Protective.
Loved.

New York Times/USA Today bestselling author Melanie Moreland, lives a happy and content life in a quiet area of Ontario with her beloved husband of twenty-seven-plus years and their rescue cat, Amber. Nothing means more to her than her friends and family, and she cherishes every moment spent with them.
While seriously addicted to coffee, and highly challenged with all things computer-related and technical, she relishes baking, cooking, and trying new recipes for people to sample. She loves to throw dinner parties, and also enjoys travelling, but finds coming home is always the best part of any trip.
Melanie loves stories, especially paired with a good wine, and enjoys skydiving (free falling over a fleck of dust) extreme snowboarding (falling down stairs) and piloting her own helicopter (tripping over her own feet.) She’s learned happily ever-afters, even bumpy ones, are all in how you tell the story.
