CORINA’S REVIEW

There are a couple of authors that check all my boxes. Charleigh Rose is one of them.

I love pretty much everything about her books.

✔ writing style

✔ sassy and witty heroines, fascinating heroes

✔ sexy stories

Bad Intentions was my favorite Charleigh Rose book yet.

I LOVED Logan and Dare’s story. It was emotional, touching, raw and just beautiful. The author wrote a story about two people that were just perfect for each other. Neither Lo (Logan) nor Dare knew what family, trust and people to depend on really meant until they met each other. Their journey was captivating, at times gutting, heartwarming and deliciously sexy.

I don’t think the author could have given Lo and Dare a better partner to heal their hearts and souls. Whenever they were together, it seems like they clicked, meshed perfectly, and completed each other in a way that was profound and tangible. Both, Lo and Dare, were very mature for their age, and had their act together. And I adored the way they genuinely liked each other. They treated each other with respect and honest admiration that was palpable and pure joy for me as a reader.

Dare was my kind of guy. He was a tattoo artist – YUM!!! Tatted, brooding, quiet and mysterious – that right there spells DREAM GUY!!! He kept himself emotionally and physically distanced from everyone around him. Dare felt that he didn’t deserve anything else than being alone. Even though the attraction between them was immediate, he didn’t pursue Lo caveman style, he waited and took his time. I adored his quiet demeanor. When he had something to say it was profound and meaningful. There were more than a couple instances when I swooned and smiled from ear to ear because of Dare. He was FINE!!!!!!!

Lo was an incredibly strong, feisty, and resourceful heroine. She was someone I could have called my friend instantly. Hard working, caring and a protective older sister, she was someone that was used to taking care of things herself. Understandably, Lo wasn’t sure what to think of Dare at first. Not sure to accept what he offered. Not sure to allow herself to think longterm. And not sure to take what was in front of her. This woman made me want to hug her, and tell her everything would be fine.

So, yes, I absolutely adored Bad Intentions.

This story was a very emotional but also a feel-good novel. My heart ached at times but more often it rejoiced. With all the heartache that came before, Charleigh Rose gave Lo and Dare a happily ever after that they both deserved and secretly desired.

If you love an awesome main characters, a wonderful circle of friends, and a story that made me wanting for more, this is the book for you. Utterly captivating, with a bold, vibrant and distinctive voice, the author delivered a fantastic second book in this addicting series. With strong language that matches the characters to a T, Bad Intentions was EVERYTHING I had hoped for.

BLURB

Lo
Moving to River’s Edge was supposed to be a fresh start.
Away from chaos.
Away from bad influences and worse relationships.
All I wanted was to give my little brother more of a chance than I ever had.
It should’ve been simple.
I didn’t count on my transgressions following me.
And I definitely didn’t count on meeting Dare.
Tall, tortured, and tattooed.
A Lost Boy through and through.
Falling for someone like him was asking for heartache.
But I was a sucker for punishment.

Dare
I had a routine.
Eat, work, sleep, repeat, only ever doing the bare minimum to keep up appearances.
I kept my circle small and my guard high.
I spent years making sure I didn’t repeat the mistakes of my past, forming an impenetrable layer of ice around my heart.
Then Logan showed up in my town, in my tattoo shop, testing my patience along with my self-control.
She was fire and I was ice.
I should’ve stayed away.
But I had been cold for far too long.

Charleigh Rose lives in Narnia with her husband and two young children. She’s hopelessly devoted to unconventional love and pizza. When she isn’t reading or mom-ing, she’s writing moody, broody, swoony romance.

    1. Ari, I’m glad!!! If strong language doesn’t bother you, this book needs to be on your MUST READ list. It’s GOOD!!! Have you read any of her other novels?

    1. If you liked the Team Player novella you’ll love this book. Actually her novella in the Team Player was one of my faves. 😀 And you could read Bad Intentions as a standalone. Just saying. 😀
