Meet the Author:
Devney lives in Montana with her husband and two children. After working in the technology industry for nearly a decade, she abandoned conference calls and project schedules to enjoy a slower pace at home with her kids. She loves reading and, after consuming hundreds of books, decided to share her own stories.
Jamison Valley Series
The Lucky Heart
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Life on his ranch could be their future. If they can overcome their past.
Felicity’s life story reads like the script to a bad soap opera. Girl’s high-school boyfriend becomes a drug addict. Girl falls for boyfriend’s best friend. Girl leaves them both behind only to return home years later for murdered ex-boyfriend’s funeral. Now she’s back home in Montana, ready to start fresh. She’s got a long list of amends to make and relationships to rebuild, including one with the man who has owned her heart for sixteen years.
Silas doesn’t need much. He’s got a great horse, close friends and the Lucky Heart ranch, but something has always been missing. He’s not an idiot. He knows the missing piece is Felicity. And now that she’s returned to Prescott, he’s got a second chance to win her heart. This time, the only thing standing in his way is history. Drudging up the past is going to be about as painful as playing tug of war with barbed wire. But if they can heal old wounds, he’ll get the girl he should have had all along.
I don’t think I can say it often enough but small town romances are one of my ultimate fave tropes. Combined with the wholesome and down-to-earth voice and writing style by Devney Perry it’s a MUST read for me.
Devney Perry has come out of nowhere and every of her books have found a place on my MUST reading list. I can’t even remember a time when she wasn’t a part of my highly anticipated book list. I love her Montana inspired books. Her rugged alpha heroes are sexy and wonderfully flawed, as well as down-to-earth and deliciously in love with their women.
The Jamison Valley books has been a series I’ve been utterly consumed by. Each installment has been unique but also perfectly fitting in the grand scheme of plots. Families merged, friends found their HEAs, and everyone helped each other out in time of need. It’s a small town life I ADORE and miss.
The Lucky Heart (Jamison Valley #3) was a second chance romance that tugged on my heart strings. Teenage love, betrayal, hurt, and guilt. All of that and so much more. It pulled me in and didn’t let go until the very end. I truly and deeply felt for Silas and Felicity. There was so much regret and heart-aching guilt, selfless devotion, and bottom-less love between them. It was palpable and moving. And I can honestly say that The Lucky Heart was the most touching of all of her books so far.
Besides the wonderfully lovely couple, I adored meeting recurring characters that I came to adore and love. I’m a huge fan of BIG families. Their unwavering support and loyalty is touching and undeniably enticing to me. Devney Perry knows how to spin a thoroughly captivating tale. Her characters are distinctive, fresh and easy to fall in love with.
All in all, The Lucky Heart easily captured my heart, imagination, and thoughts. I can’t wait to read The Outpost (Jamison Valley, #4) out in November of 2017.
