2017 Wrap UP

Let’s get this year wrapped up and 2018 started.

2017 Wrap Up

2017 was an amazing bookish year.

Even though I wasn’t able to read as many books as I wanted in 2017, everything else ROCKED!!!

For both of us, Tijuana and myself, 2017 was our first blog anniversary year – for our individual blogs and the year we merged. Honestly, there was no way I knew in November of 2016 where I would be today.

We worked our ass off, and reached goals we could only dream of a year ago. We have more goals for 2018, but right now, we reached what we set out to do. That’s an amazing feeling right there.

2017 was also the year I realized that not everything is pink and rosy in the book world. Social media has its drawbacks, from authors, promo firms to social media platforms – nothing was left untouched by drama. With eyes wide open we are welcoming 2018.

2017 was also a year of many firsts for us.

We attended our first book signings, mine was the San Fran Golden Gate Author Event in San Francisco, and TJ’s was the RT Booklovers Convention in Atlanta.

We held our first giveaways, and blog hops. Wrote our first author interviews. And contacted publishers to request ARC’s outside of NetGalley. And last but not least held our FIRST ANNUAL HOLIDAY BOOK BASH – TJ posted 23 giveaways from December 1st to December 23rd –  every single day!!!!

I made some amazing connections with fellow bloggers this year. Fantastic people that are willing to support, help and advice whenever I had questions. It’s pretty humbling to feel this welcome and accepted in a community that I had no idea existed outside of Goodreads.

But most of all, 2017 was the year I met TJ.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that we clicked in such a way that we talk on the phone for half a day straight. I’m not kidding!!! We had 7 hour conversations at times. We are officially beyond help at this point. And I LOVE it!!!

So, yes 2017 ROCKED!!!

We are ready for 2018!

To round it up, here are the posts that were the most popular this year.

    1. Thank you Mallory! And same to you. It’s pretty awesome to start a new year, with lots of goals and a new reading challenge to conquer.
