Weekly Recap – June 24th
I’m back, yay!!!
I think I’ll be doing this post every other week. There isn’t that much interesting to report. My life is VERY boring – and I like it that way. 😀
I’ll be in Aspen, Colorado when this post is going live. It’s a business trip and not pleasure so I’m not sure how much fun I’m going to have. Or how much reading I’ll be doing. Nevertheless, always optimist in regards to reading, I’m bringing a few ARCs and my trusty kindle.
June was my first month of BOTM.
What is BOTM you might ask. BOTM stands for Book of the Month and it’s a subscription service that sends you one (or more) books every month. You can choose from four different genres each month, and so far, when I look at their past months there was always one book that was a popular read and I ended up reading it too.
Here are the genres they’ve features before:
- Contemporary Fiction
- Literary Fiction
- Historical Fiction
- Young Adult
- Fantasy & Sci-Fi
My June book was free for signing up and I chose a horror/mystery./science fiction.
BUT if you sign up this month, you have a chance of getting THE KISS QUOTIENT as your BOTM. And this book is talked about EVERYWHERE!!!! Here is my review.
The BOTM books are hardcovers and you can easily skip a month, or choose two or more books, however you want to do it. No pressure at all. I love BTOM because it gets me out of my regular romance genre.
Look they even had How to Walk Away which I adored!!!!
So if you are interested in subscribing or at least trying it out for one month and getting a free book, please let me know, I can forward you an email that would get me a book credit as a referral bonus. 😀
My June in books!
June has been a rather slow month for me.
Here are the books I was looking forward to read in June, some I still haven’t read.
The last few month have been easy on NetGalley. I’ve gotten the books I wanted until last week – bah bah bah!!!!! I requested the new Ilona Andrews novel Iron and Magic and my request got declined – I wanted to cry……. 😀
Here are the titles that I haven’t read/reviewed yet.
