Meet the Author:

When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…

BLURB

Matthew

Drafted first round pick when I was seventeen, playing first line at eighteen, branded NHL’s bad boy at nineteen. At twenty-three I was cut from the team and living back home with my parents. A knock on the door brought an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. All I had to do was prove I learned from my mistakes, so no way would I fall for a chick with a pouty mouth even if I wanted to spend all day devouring it.

Karrie

When my father gave me a job, I had no idea it would be to babysit some washed up NHL player. He wanted me to be his chaperone, his overpaid babysitter. I thought it was a joke. Then I met him, Matthew Grant. I wasn’t prepared for this particular bad boy. He’s not only hot but he’s arrogant and kinda sweet in a ‘you make me crazy’ kind of way.
Basically now that he’s finished screwing up his life, he’s decided to turn mine upside down.

She’s the first thing I’ve ever wanted more than hockey.

He’s the guy I know I should stay away from.

But what if this thing that started out so wrong turns into something so perfect?

CORINA’S REVIEW

5 stars

SEXY CAVEMAN!!! That’s all I’m saying!!!

Buckle up and get ready for a Matthew Grant!!

My all time favorite sports romance is by far ice hockey!! Those guys are HOT! All in. Not afraid to throw down the glove and get down and dirty with opponents and they usually are as bossy and forward outside the rink as they are on the ice – and I’m loving it!!!

Hell YES!!!

Matthew Grant could have not been more PERFECT in my eyes. He was bossy as can be. Utterly dedicated and devoted. Cocky. And oh so swoony!!

He had everything going for him. He was the classic bad boy jock, a fiend on the ice, best of the best, partier and womanizer to boot until it all came crushing down. His last chance to show everyone what he was made off came in form of a contract with some stipulations. LMAO – a chaperone. This couldn’t have been more hilarious. Poor Karrie! She had no idea what was coming.

Those two – made me laugh so hard!!!

Karrie and Matthew were a dream team. Their banter, chemistry and personalities were a match made in heaven. They were the hoot!! I could have listened to their banter all day long. And OMG the chemistry – HOT!! It sizzled and sparks flew constantly. But what I loved the most was their comfort level with each other. I adored that!! It made me all swoony and gooey inside. 😀

Karrie was fantastic in her own right. She was feisty!! Funny. A kick-ass heroine that gave as good as she got!! Like I said – Karrie and Matthew were an excellent couple – one of my favorites of 2017!!!

This book really had everything I could have wished for. Awesome characters that I fell in love with EASILY!!! Wonderful chemistry! Captivating and engaging plot. And one of the BEST caveman style heroes EVER!!!!

I’m officially in LOVE!!!

TIJUANA’S REVIEW

OMG! This book really cracked me up. Although I knew what to expect, Mathew still caught me off guard. His OTT alpha antics were HILARIOUS!!

Here’s what I loved:

I don’t think it’s a secret at this point. Mathew was the highlight of the story for me. I also really enjoyed his background story. The relationship he has with his mom and step-dad is so sweet. I adored all their family interactions.

The secondary characters are all amazing. Gah, hearing #asshat again had me spewing my coke across the room!! I was laughing out loud nearly the entire book. Natasha Madison really has a knack for romantic comedy. It’s very impressive.

The relationship development between Mathew and Karrie was a definite win. Although he bulldozes her at every turn, she has no problem trying to keep in check. Fortunately, his alpha-hole tendencies often win out in the end.

And last, but certainly not least!! The steamy bits were exceptional.

I loved these two together, particularly the fact that Mathew made no bones about the fact that he wanted to build something special with Karrie. It was a real win all the way around. Loved it!

The overall plot and story progression were excellent. This is an excellent romantic comedy and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys OTT alphas.

Audiobook review: The audible version is narrated By Melissa Moran and Joe Hempel. I enjoyed the audiobook. I did have to speed up the narration up a little bit, but other than that. No complaints. I’d definitely recommend this version.

    1. I read the first book last year. I would say you can read it as a standalone, his parents (couple in the first book) have a few cameos in this book, but there is nothing that would require your knowledge of book 1.

    1. thank you so much Kaytlyn!!!! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. Hockey romances are my kindle crack – and this one checked all my boxes. 😀 Happy reading!
