Signature Lauren Blakely!!

Most Likely to Score is fun, flirty, and sweet! Jillian and Jones are both amazing characters. They’re determined to be the best of the best. She’s driven to succeed as a publicist and he’s riding the wave of being one of the best players in the NFL. But what matters most? Being at the top of your field or being with the one you love?

That’s the basic premise of the story. I’ve oversimplified, of course, but I like that these two characters have life goals and aspirations. I enjoyed learning what drives and motivates them. They’re very different in that regard, but both backstories are meaningful. I absolutely loved the diversity of the heroine. It played a major role throughout the story and was very refreshing!

As I stated before, this was signature Lauren Blakely.

When you pick up one of her books, you know you’re going to get great writing, an engaging story, and a steamy romance. She delivers, as always, on all three. In this forbidden romance, the reader is allowed to get to know the characters fairly well before things heat up. I actually enjoyed that a lot. The sports theme is pervasive and very well done. It feels really authentic in that regards. Jones and Jillian’s fears are significant. But most of all it made me feel. I teared up at the end. Don’t ask me why! I’m blaming it on Lauren’s fabulous writing and characters. Jones was a man after my own heart and he succeeded in stealing it!

This is a definite win! If you enjoy sports romance or forbidden romance, this is a MUST!

BLURB

It should have been a simple play…

She needed a football player to step up and be the star for a charity calendar. I needed a sharp and savvy publicist to manage a brand-new sponsorship deal. I scratched her back. She scratched mine. And oh hell, did Jillian ever drag her nails down my back on one hell of a hot night. Okay fine, it was several hot nights on the road.

Now we’re back in town and it’s time to set the play clock back to when we were simply player and publicist. Given the way the last few years have gone, I can’t risk this deal, so it’s hands off for us once again. Trouble is, I want more than than just another night with her.

What’s a guy to do when he’s always been most likely to score, but the woman he’s falling for is just out of bounds?

I don’t date players.
And I definitely don’t sleep with players.
And I absolutely don’t fall for a certain player when I get to know him and learn he’s more than just sexy — he’s clever, funny and has a heart as big as his . .. well, you get my drift.

But my job is at stake, and I can’t afford to lose that as well as my heart. The problem is, I think I’ve already lost that game.

What’s a girl to do when the clock is running out, but the man she’s falling for is off limits?

  1. oh I haven’t picked up this author and REALLY REALLY want to. This book sounds amazing. I do plan on picking her up soon since so many of her books are on the audible romance package. 🙂 Which book is your favorite?
