Lovers Like Us (Like Us #2)
Expected publication: October 31st 2017
New Adult, M/M Romance
This series has been one of my favorite so far. Not only have the authors a refreshingly unique style, they also write some of the most unique characters I’ve had the pleasure reading. Non are blah or one dimensional. Every single character has flaws in an interesting way and most of all the way they stick together and support each other is FABULOUS!!!! I loved the first generation and now it’s all about the second generation.
Maximoff & Farrow’s story continues in Lovers Like Us.
The Like Us series is a true series, one continuous timeline, that follows a family of wealthy celebrities and the people that protect them.
(The Stormlight Archive #3)
Expected publication: November 14th 2017
High Fantasy, Paperback, 1008 pages
OMG. OMG. OMG
This book!!! This series! Just to understand my commitment. I’ve been waiting since 2014 for this book. And there are 7 more books coming. If we average 3-4 years per book, I’ll be old and grey by then. But this series is AMAZEBALLS!!!! If you love high fantasy this book/series should be a MUST!!! I already ordered the audiobook, I’ll be sitting there for 44 hours and not move a muscle – lol.
I decided to continue with audiobooks since I’ve started out like that and I fell in love with the narrators. Something would be missing otherwise.
But OMG I can’t wait for this book – honestly it is my MOST highly anticipated book of the year, actually of the last three years – LMAO!!!
In Oathbringer, the third volume of the New York Times bestselling Stormlight Archive, humanity faces a new Desolation with the return of the Voidbringers, a foe with numbers as great as their thirst for vengeance.
Dalinar Kholin’s Alethi armies won a fleeting victory at a terrible cost: The enemy Parshendi summoned the violent Everstorm, which now sweeps the world with destruction, and in its passing awakens the once peaceful and subservient parshmen to the horror of their millennia-long enslavement by humans. While on a desperate flight to warn his family of the threat, Kaladin Stormblessed must come to grips with the fact that the newly kindled anger of the parshmen may be wholly justified.
Nestled in the mountains high above the storms, in the tower city of Urithiru, Shallan Davar investigates the wonders of the ancient stronghold of the Knights Radiant and unearths dark secrets lurking in its depths. And Dalinar realizes that his holy mission to unite his homeland of Alethkar was too narrow in scope. Unless all the nations of Roshar can put aside Dalinar’s blood-soaked past and stand together―and unless Dalinar himself can confront that past―even the restoration of the Knights Radiant will not prevent the end of civilization.
Expected publication: November 14th 2017
Science Fiction, Hardcover, 384 pages
I really enjoyed The Martian and when I saw this book available on NetGalley I had to request it. It’s been on my kindle for a few weeks now. With me having less and less time for reading, I hope I’ll get to it soon.
Of course my expectations are HUGE which is never smart – but maybe I’ll get lucky. I loved the author’s writing style and wit and can only imagine the potential of this book. We’ll see!!!
The bestselling author of The Martian returns with an irresistible new near-future thriller—a heist story set on the moon
Jazz Bashara is a criminal.
Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you’re not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you’ve got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent.
Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down. But pulling off the impossible is just the start of her problems, as she learns that she’s stepped square into a conspiracy for control of Artemis itself—and that now, her only chance at survival lies in a gambit even riskier than the first.
Fence (Fence #1)
Expected publication: November 2017
Young Adult , M/M, Graphic Novel
I’m so tempted to read this book. It would be my first graphic novel in YEARS!! But the author wrote one of the most EPIC series I’ve ever read. Captive Prince trilogy blew my mind, and the idea of this graphic novel is definitely something I would be interested in exploring.
“Fence” follows the rise of 16-year-old outsider Nicholas in the world of competitive fencing at an elite boys school. “It’s all about the world of fencing,” said Pacat. “The elegance, the danger, the high stakes of what’s essentially a combat sport.”
Heart on Fire
(Kingmaker Chronicles #3)
Expected publication: January 2nd 2018
Fantasy, Paperback, 448 pages
Another highly anticipated book of 2017. I love fantasy but I’m a really picky stinker. So when I read Amanda Bouchet’s first book I was literally OMYEFFINGLORD!!!! It was EVERYTHING I could have hoped for and so much more!! I truly can’t wait to dive in.
The riveting conclusion to the Kingmaker Chronicles, available January 2018!
Who is Catalia Fisa?
With the help of pivotal figures from her past, Cat begins to understand the root of her exceptional magic, her fated union with Griffin Sinta, and Griffin’s role in shaping her destiny.
Only Cat holds the key to unlocking her own power, and that means finally accepting herself, her past, and her future in order to protect her loved ones, confront her murderous mother, and taking a final, terrifying step—reuniting all three realms and taking her place as the Queen of Thalyria.
What doesn’t kill her will only make her stronger…we hope.
(Mount Trilogy #1)
Expected publication: October 17th 2017
Meghan March is an amazing author. She’s one of few authors that have me hook, line, and sinker. I’ve read all her books and feel her alpha-males are some of the best I’ve ever read. With that being said, I am BEYOND excited to see what she has in store with the Mount Series. Ruthless King is at the very top of my autumn TBR. I cannot wait!
Get ready for the darker and dirtier side of New Orleans with a brand new alpha romance from USA Today bestselling author Meghan March.
New Orleans belongs to me.
You don’t know my name, but I control everything you see—and all the things you don’t.
My reach knows no bounds, and my demands are always met.
I didn’t need to loan money to a failing family distillery, but it amuses me to have them in my debt.
To have her in my debt.
She doesn’t know she caught my attention.
She should’ve been more careful.
I’m going to own her. Consume her. Maybe even keep her.
It’s time to collect what I’m owed.
Keira Kilgore, you’re now the property of Lachlan Mount.
The Consort (Ascension #3)
Expected publication: October 10th 2017
Fantasy, Young Adult
I’m a certified YA lover. I read YA exclusively for years before venturing into the romance genre. When I saw this series by a favorite romance author, K. A. Linde, I jumped right on it. The covers are beautiful. The blurbs are amazing. I just know this series is going to consume me. It’s going to be amazing.
After the loss of a friend and a false imprisonment in an Eleysian dungeon, Cyrene has no interest in destiny. Her heart was shattered, friends scattered, and her home is nothing but a pretty illusion. Even her magic won’t cooperate.
Only desperation can turn her to the last person she should trust:
His darkness mirrors a growing force lurking within her. A struggle she never imagined threatens to consume her. And as friends and foes begin to show their true colors, she starts questioning whether anyone is who they seem.
Umm…it’s Melanie Harlow. I think that’s all that needs to be said. If I’m in the mood for emotional, sexy, and sweet, Melanie is my go to. He stories are real and raw. I adore that in a romance.
It was like seeing a ghost.
When my late husband’s twin brother moves back to our small town, I want to avoid him. Everything about Wes reminds me of the man I lost and the life we’d planned together, and after eighteen long months struggling just to get out of bed, I’m finally doing okay. I have a new job, an amazing support group, and a beautiful five-year-old daughter to parent. I don’t want to go backward.
But I’m drawn to him, too. He understands my grief and anger and loneliness like no one else—and I understand his. Before long, that understanding becomes desire, and that desire becomes uncontrollable.
We make excuses. We blame our sorrow. We promise each other it will never happen again.
But it does.
And when our secret threatens to destroy his family and my reputation, we’ll have to decide what’s more important—loyalty or love?
Anything Lauren Blakely releases will find its way to my TBR list. She’s one of my favorites. Her books always manager to entertain and make me smile.
Women often say a good man is hard to find. And a hard man is even better.
That’s why I’m quite a catch— good, hard, loaded, and wait for it…I’m ready to settle down too. But the woman I want to pitch my tent with lives clear across the country. Neither of us wants to get lost in those woods. All I have to do is resist her for the week she’s in town.
I try. I swear I try. But yeah, that doesn’t work out.
And after one fantastic night with my good friend Mia, I’m ready to give her years of nights under the stars. What’s a few thousand miles when love’s involved? But there’s a hitch in my plans — she just hired my adventure tour company. If there’s one thing I’m committed to, it’s running a squeaky clean business. Number one on my list of iron-clad rules?
Don’t screw your customers.
But what’s a guy to do when she’s so hard to resist? How hard can it be to keep our hands off each other for a quick group tour down the hills and over the trails? I’m about to find out, and I have a feeling I’m going to need a new badge of honor because things are about to get very hard in the woods.
It’s shocking to most people when I tell them this, but I’ve only recently begun reading K. Bromberg. I started reading her with Sweet Rivalry and haven’t looked back. I read each of the Rivalry books, The Player, and The Catch. She’s become a definite 1-click author for me. Plus….hot cop, sign me up!!
“I hate you. I never want to see you again.”
Grant Malone is not the reason I moved back to Sunnyville—at least that’s what I tell myself. Yet, those parting words I said to him back in third grade, ring in my ears every time a townsperson brings up one of the Malone boys. I thought time had healed my wounds. I was wrong. Nothing could have prepared me for how I felt when I finally saw him again.
Twenty years does a lot to turn a boy into a man. One who hits all my buttons—sexy, funny, attractive, and a police officer. But Grant is off limits because he knows too much about my past.
But I’m drawn to him. That damn uniform of his doesn’t hurt either. It’ll be my downfall. I know it.
What’s one night of sex going to hurt . . . right?
I’ve always loved Emmy Reeves.
That’s why I’m shocked to see her all these years later. The shy girl I once knew is all grown up.
Adventurous and full of life, she owns my heart now, just as much as she did back then. Convincing her of that is a whole different story.
I’ll give her the one night she asks for—like that’s a hardship—but when it comes to letting her walk away after, she has another thing coming. There’s no way in hell I’m letting her go this time without a fight.
