TIJUANA’S REVIEW

I’m in my feelings after finishing this one. That ending though! Oh my goodness. I’m utterly speechless!

Okay, not totally speechless since I’m going to attempt a review. But I can tell you upfront, this one may be long and rambling.

I loved so much about this book. The story has finally seemed to coalesce in way that’s truly meaningful. I finally get Elide and Manon’s purpose. lI swear, I wanted to rip out the pages dedicated to these two seemingly useless characters in previous books. I know people love them, but I just didn’t feel it before.

Rowan is and always will be one of my absolute favorite characters. I will love him “to whatever end”. The cadre of Fae warriors, Lorcan, Dorian, Aedion….they all have a place in my heart. I can’t wait to see them kick ass and take names in the next installment.

What’s up with Lysandra? That’s what I really want to know. I adore her more and more after each book. Her allegiance to Aelin is the stuff of legends. Her fearlessness and tireless defense of her queen is wonderfully brilliant. She’s a definite bright spot in the noticeable darkness of this book.

OOHH!! Dorian and Manon. Holy hotness!!!!
I am so here for their relationship. Wowza!

And Aelin… Man oh man, the ending left me crying in my cereal. She is remarkable. That’s truly all I can say. Another unforgettable character that I’ll remember always.

Is the book perfect? No. There were some things I didn’t love like info dump in certain places, lags in others, but I just spouted everything above so you’ll know why it was perfect for me. Because it was.
