Bookstagram – yes or no?

Bookstagram – yes or no?

Blogging, nowadys can be a very diverse business. There is Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Goodreads, Instagram and the old fashion blog. What’s your medium?

We all have our favorites. Bookstagram – yes or no?

Boostagram is mine.

I recently started back on Instagram. I started years ago with a landscape account, than added a macro account for flowers, and now have an bookstagram account as well. I always loved shooting photos, if it was for family vacations, or dabbling in other genres, I’ve had a DSLR camera for the last 15 years. It’s super exciting to combine my passion for photography with my passion for books.

I love to chat about books, but not just books. There are so many topics to discuss. What we currently read, last book hauls, dreaded book slumps, tropes, anything book related or not. I’ve come to enjoy being part of the Instagram community. For me as a visual person, seeing photos of books, especially book covers, but also book shelfs, and gorgeously styled displays, Instagram is the medium that combines my love for books and photography. It’s been fun catching up with everyones reading list, recommendations, and 5 star books. I’ve found some great books to try out this way.

So, if you want to chat with me about books on a daily basis, in a  casual and easy way, find me on IG. I would love to have you as part of my IG family.

  1. Hahaha Corina I am already in your family 😉 And it was you who made me go to having a bookstagram account as well.

    1. Lol – and look where it got you – your photos are awesome!!! I’ll be the first congratulating you to being a future brand rep – just wait and see! 😉

  2. I have quite a few mediums that I use to talk about books. First and foremost I use WordPress. I usually use my IG, Twitter and Tumblr to link back to my wordpress. However, I use IG, Twitter, and Tumblr in a more relaxed manner. IG is defnitely used for talking about the books I’m currently reading. I just love book photography. Though I’m not much of a talker (even this comment says otherwise), I don’t usually tweet all that much. I use my tumblr to reblog a lot of things: pictures, quotes, memes, videos…a whole lot.

I’m all over the place, aha. 😛

    1. I do the same, I use IG for talking about the books I read and what happens on a daily basis. It’s so easy to compose a caption for the day, a few minutes and done.;-) I have never tried Tumblr, but it sounds like you can use it with any medium you want.

  3. I do use Instagram ,but I am still unsure how to use it properly lol..I will have to try to check my Instagram more often xx

    1. Yay!!! Please let me know your handle.;-) and you are right the creativity that can be found on IG is beyond amazing 🖤

  4. I’m definitely going to follow you! I’m huge into instagram and photography, but I only have my personal account right now. I’ve been thinking about creating a bookstagram for a while, now I just might do it!
