Book Review – Throne of Truth (Truth and Lies Duet #2) by Pepper Winters

WOW – Throne of Truth delivered in every aspect! I finally got answers, but OMG what an emotional roller coaster ride this story was!

BLURB

“My body blinded me while his lies destroyed me. Penn Everett swept me from my world and into his, and when his lies fell apart, I finally opened my eyes to the truth. The awful, terrible truth.”

Noelle Charlston had it all: her company, a love affair, power and protection.
However, she didn’t pay attention, and in one night, everything she believed in, everyone she trusted turned out to be worse than fake.
Now, she has no one to help her. No one to free her.
She’s on her own and has to make the choice.
Who to believe?
Who to fight?

Expected publication: February 28th 2017

MY REVIEW

First off – look at that gorgeous cover!!!! I think I love this cover even more than the one for Crown of Lies – but really both covers are just gorgeous. Can see them on my bookshelf – eye-candy!!

Secondly, this book had it ALL!!!

It was such an emotional roller coaster ride. I was sitting on the edge of my chair (ok, I was sitting in bed, but you get my drift) and couldn’t tear my eyes off the pages.

The book started explosive and didn’t let up. Elle’s trust and faith was almost immediately put to the ultimate test . Fortunately she turned out to be such a strong women, that she handled it perfectly. Her life was coming crashing down all around her and all she could do was trust the people that loved her.

This book was really about coming full circle.

Questions were finally answered and both, Elle and Penn, were able to let things go. Because when it came to standing by her man Elle did everything in her power to protect him. She was a power women!! And consequently they did great compared to what was stacked against them.

The emotions in this book were palpable. I felt for Elle, the hard decisions she had to make, and the turmoil that was coming for her. And OMG – Penn, his POV, was my undoing. I finally got a chance to see into his head. And I got the answers I so urgently desired and it made him even more endearing. In book 1 I wasn’t really sure what to think of him, but now – sigh, what a dreamy guy.

Wonderful second book!! I can’t wait to see what Pepper Winters is writing next.
