When she ran away, she traveled fourteen countries across five continents, attended three universities, and married the vocalist of her favorite rock band.
Java, tobacco, and dark romance novels are her favorite indulgences, and might be considered more unhealthy than her aversion to sleeping, eating meat, and dolls with blinking eyes.

Three means war.
Three sides vying for forever.
My first love.

Strap in for the crazy train folks. I fear this may be a gushy, rambling, stream of consciousness type of review. Continue at your own risk.
Pam Godwin is a genius! A writing goddess. I’m gonna keep it 100 with you all and tell you that not only is this one of my favorite series, but also one of the most uncomfortable reads ever. I didn’t know if my poor battered heart would survive it. It’s the epitome of an emotional roller coaster. Seriously, look up emotional roller coaster in Webster’s and you just might see:
If this sounds like your jam, strap in and enjoy one helluva ride. It’s a good one.
If you’re reading this Review, hopefully you’ve read the first two books. If not, stop reading this and go read that! 😉 The premise here is that it’s decision time. By hook or crook, Cole and Trace are going to push Dani to make a choice. The process is unconventional and at times uncomfortable, but in the end it works.
The brilliance of the writing is that you experience all the emotions right along with the characters. I sometimes had to read with one hand covering my eyes.
There aren’t any spoilers here folks, but I will share that I got exactly what I wanted from this book. From the very first book, I knew this was going to slay me and possibly ruin my relationship with my beloved Blog Twin but it was so worth it! It’s emotionally charged, raw, and as realistic as a work of fiction can be. I imagine I’d respond the same way as Dani, if forced into this situation.
So, to wrap up the longest and quite possibly vaguest review ever, this series pushed me out of my comfort zone and broke my heart, but it was so worth it. I enjoyed every minute!
Recommended for readers who enjoy love triangles, emotional reads, strong alpha males.
Ok, here we go.
Before we start I need to get this out – this review is going to be very emotional. Not because the book touched me – sadly it didn’t – but because this series put me through the wringer.
First off, I might have made a mistake early on. I picked sides. And with picking sides, there comes a loser – or maybe not a loser but someone with a broken heart at the end of the journey. That’s why I HATE triangle stories. Especially if I’m rooting for the person that’s going to lose.
So, long story short, this book didn’t do it for me. Not because of anything else than where the story ended up. I picked the short straw so to speak, and I can be quite the sore loser.
Now, I believe that Dani stayed with the guy she loved the most. I truly believe that. Does it make a difference? Not really! At least not for me. After two books of emotional back and forth and power plays between Cole and Trace – I’m EXHAUSTED. I’m truly done with this series, and I can’t wait to take a breather.
The author wrote a book full of raw emotions, and brimmed with feelings, that needed an outlet. It was intense, sexy and steamy, but also volatile, explosive, and filled with conflicting emotions that drove me INSANE!!! I’m not a back and forth kind of person. My motto: pick and be happy.
Cole and Trace didn’t help the situation at all. Maybe Dani was the problem because she just couldn’t choose, but those two didn’t make it any easier. They put her on the spot – pick one!! Right. Because that’s so easy. Especially for Dani who can’t make up her mind. And what if she picked wrong???? Will she be regretting it to the end of time? UGH!!!!
So, this review comes from the gut – my gut!! I wasn’t looking forward to reading this book. The chances were 50/50 and the likelihood that my guy would win the girl diminished the further I got into the book.
I truly wished I could have enjoyed it more. Because both male characters were so likable that if they had their own book I would have 5 stared the heck out of it. Sadly that was not the case.
