Author Interview – Natasha Madison

We had the best of times asking Natasha all sorts of questions, and were super delighted by her answers. We hope you’ll enjoy this interview as much as we did and head on over to try a few of her books.

Meet Natasha Madison:

When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

We are honored to have Natasha Madison as our author of the month. It was a privilege to ask Natasha personal questions about her work and life and I’m incredibly grateful she took time out of her busy day to do so.

As with last month’s interview, we included a gift card giveaway, the requirements are posted below.

Let’s start with a few “Getting To Know You” questions:

Tell us something about you that we’d never suspect?

I hate rodents…I deathly afraid of birds.

Are you a plotter or pantser?

I want to say plotter but then my attention goes all over the place

How does a typical day in the life of Natasha Madison look like?

Wake up is anywhere from 630-645 depending on how many times I press snooze.

I make my self a coffee while I scroll facebook and instagram to see if perhaps I missed something huge, most days I didn’t. I yell at my kids about ten times to get up before I give up.

I’m out the door at 7:45 bringing my oldest to college. Usually I get into work between 830-900

I leave work sometime after one, then my day really starts

I catch up on emails, facebook notices, my posts and then I write till about four.

Two of the kids get home at 4, so I’m off to get them at the stop, then pick up the oldest at college. Rush to get him home and fed and then to work. I get home to prepare dinner, wash up clean, write a bit more and then leave to go bring my daughter to cheer. Get back in the car to do pick ups and then I usually get to bed at around eleven…

Who is your celebrity crush?

Justin Timberlake

Is there a Mr. Natasha Madison?  If so, does he inspire your characters?

There is a Mr. Madison. I think he is a bit of all my characters.

Now Natasha I have to ask, have you ever played with itching powder before? How close to real life was that scene?  Have you ever given someone swollen balls in real life?

I actually have not. The idea came to me just like that and I had to research it to see if it can really happen, and I was shocked that it can. I will say my kids did come in while I was checking out swollen balls pictures.. That is another story! My husband tends to say something that I bust his balls, not sure if it’s the same thing though.

I’ve fallen in love with sexy caveman Matthew. Where did you get the inspiration from? He gave me a Lady Boner the way he manhandled and bossed Karrie around.

Matthew is the most alpha I have ever written, he really did what he wanted to do, no matter what.

do you have New plans to share with your readers?

I have a couple of things planned but I put to much pressure on myself if I put it out there.. SO stay tuned.

What projects/books have you ever wanted to write and never had the time or courage to start?

I think that I have written anything that I wanted to write.

Do you write for yourself or for your audience?

Always for me. I have to write a story that I want to read over and over and over again.

Have you ever had characters that took over and led you in a very different direction than you originally planned?

HELL AND BACK!!! that story made me go up and around!

What books do you read in your spare time?

I like to just read anything when I’m not writing. I used to read 4-5 books a week and I’m down to 4-5 a month….

Do you have a favorite trope? What do you think is under represented in romantic fiction?

I don’t go for tropes, I go for blurbs. It has to get me hooked.

Your books always have a humorous side.  Are you a jokester in real life?

I’m not so much a jokester as I’m really really funny.

Tea or Coffee? Coffee

Stilettos or ballet flats? UMMM writing love stories in kick ass heels!!!

Wine or Vodka? Depends if it’s with a meal, wine. If it’s in a bar vodka, grey goose.

If you could buy any type of food (right now) what would you buy? I’m a carbs fanatic…which doesn’t bode well for the size of my ever growing ass.

What is one of the things you would put on your “bucket” list? Bora Bora….You never know!!!
