Meet the Author:

USA Today bestselling author, Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to read. Her books include the novels Faithful (not currently on sale as undergoing maintenance!), Hopeful, The Empire State Series, The Nights Series (a series of standalones alone books each following different characters) and King of Wall Street.

Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.

Louise loves the rain, The West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.

She loves to hear from readers so get in touch!

BLURB

HE’S A HOLLYWOOD SUPERSTAR. SHE’S LITERALLY THE GIRL NEXT DOOR

One of Hollywood’s A-listers, I have the movie industry in the palm of my hand. But if I’m going to stay at the top, my playboy image needs an overhaul. No more tabloid headlines. No more parties. And absolutely no more one night stands.

Filming for my latest blockbuster takes place on the coast of Maine and I’m determined to stay out of trouble. But trouble finds me when I run into Lana Kelly.
She doesn’t recognize me, she’s never heard of Matt Easton and my million dollar smile doesn’t work on her.

Ego shredded, I know I should keep my distance, but when I realize she’s my neighbor I know I’m toast. There’s no way I can resist temptation when it’s ten yards away.

She has a mouth designed for pleasure and legs that will wrap perfectly around my waist. She’s movie star beautiful and her body is made to be mine.

Getting Lana Kelly into my bed is harder than I’m used to. She’s not interested in the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, but I’m determined to convince her the best place in the world is on the red carpet, holding my hand.

I could have any woman in the world, but all I want is the girl next door.

A sexy, standalone romance.

TIJUANA’S REVIEW

My face when a Louise Bay ARC hits my kindle:

For the record, I had the same expression when I finished the last page of this book.

“The man a million women wanted only wanted me.”

Matt is #Bae! Man oh man, I enjoyed this book. It’s sexy, sweet, and romantic. The chemistry between Matt and Lana is explosive!

Here’s the breakdown on Hollywood Scandal:

Short and sweet – A small town girl meets a mega movie star. Witty banter, explosive chemistry, and attempts at remaining incognito follow.

What I loved:

The relationship development between Matt and Lana. Their initial meeting was so funny. Lana is so spunky. I still laugh about their banter at the beginning of the book. I liked both main characters. They weren’t perfect, but fit well together. My top fave about the characters was the way Matt sees Lana. He falls hard. She becomes all he sees and cares about. Totally loved how much he wanted and needed her. My heart melted.

I adore Louise Bay’s writing style! I can’t put my finger on it exactly, but her writing just does it for me. She knows how to perfectly balance the steam factor and the emotional tug I need. She’s quickly become an auto one-click author for me. I also get a kick out of authors adding references to their previous works. It’s like finding those little eggs in movies you love. I loved the homage to my main man – The King of Wall Street! However, I’m thankful Matt didn’t chose to “wear slick suits” to work every day.

The treatment of the plot. Let’s face it, we’ve all seen this trope before, mega movie star falls for the girl next door. The difference here are the original aspects of the story that freshened up the trope. The interesting town, funny little stories, and psychic premonition. I was in stitches. I enjoyed the small town feel and worried about Lana’s past. Those factors were new and interesting. Having those little nuances made this super enjoyable.

So, this is another win! I highly recommend it.
